Accepts contact closures from UPS and DC systems, Generators, HVAC units, Fire Suppression, access control and other site devices. Simple contact closure input, SNMP Ethernet output system for remote network operation center monitoring via enterprise network management software such as CA Spectrum, HP OpenView, Micromuse Netcool etc. Compliant with Broadband-Enterprise VOIP telemetry alarm requirements for site monitoring and remote visibility. SNMP trap output to remote NOC monitoring servers. > SiteRanger SR2: Consists of a series of dedicated purpose acquisition modules connected via the CSInet Cat5E network that are all centrally powered via PoE. Dedicated modules are installed/retrofitted in legacy or new power system devices such as Generators, Automatic transfer switches, UPS systems, -48VDC power systems, AC distribution panels and other power infrastructure devices. Additional SR2 devices include HVAC environmental monitor, network ground current monitor and DC distribution current monitor. SR2 modules can also be deployed on a local basis via internal webserver function. Simply point your browser to the SR2 device IP and instantly review power system operating parameters on a local headend or hub basis. > Ala Carte approach: Allows installation of specific monitoring modules as needed for retrofit to existing sites and for upgrade/additions of new devices as facilities grow. > Open Source - non proprietary: Standard network interface for cost effective implementation. SNMP data - TCP/IP web. CSInet utilizes Cat5E network with PoE interface to provide highly reliable and redundant single point powering of remote SR2 devices. All devices are powered from a PoE enabled switch via -48VDC with battery back-up or 120VAC UPS. Power and facility device dry contact source circuits are routed to a cross-connect termination block system in the facility and then connected via 50 conductor cable harnesses to the the SiteRanger SR1 rack mount monitor. SNMP alarm traps are created upon input port alarm function and sent via Ethernet TCP/IP to local or remote IP addresses for SNMP network management software tracking and reporting functions. SiteRanger SR1 can send SNMP traps to two IP addresses simultaneously. Advantages include simply wire pair contact closure wiring from site devices to cross-connect and SiteRanger unit. Many legacy devices have relay contacts and switches available that provide basic functional monitoring of device status. Contact closures can be configured normally open or normally closed and the SiteRanger SR1 unit can alarm on either. Implementation of the SR1 system is simple and reliable. Disadvantages include the fact that the SR1 system does not provide analog parameter monitoring. It is intended to provide notification of failure or distinct conditions as communicated by on/off contact status. Qualitative information such as analog power parameters, temperature, humidity, fuel level, etc cannot be provided that are valuable for capacity management, early detection of failure and analysis of site reliability. The SiteRanger SR2 system is designed for Ala carte implementation of remote acquisition modules interconnected on a network to provide analog data for more detailed and sophisticated site visibility.

Remote power via PoE - reliable and redundant Dedicated function modules - targeted monitoring Connect via CSInet or direct LAN connection for local monitoring > Individual dedicated function modules are retrofitted/installed in power devices, HVAC, Fire Suppression and other site systems to provide both contact closure and analog parameter monitoring to provide significant remote visibility of facility status. > SR2 Modules are designed for interconnection via CSInet which includes an industry standard Cat5E network with PoE enabled network power distribution to provide reliable central power for the SR2 modules. CSInet provides individual Cat5E connectivity for data and power for the SR2 modules without proprietary wiring or interconnection limitations. Standard network wiring devices and components are used for maximum cost and reliability benefit. > Contact closures and analog parameter acquisition provides the maximum in remote visibility. Each SR2 module includes inputs for contact closures from site devices as well as electrical monitoring connectivity for AC/DC power parameters as well as other analog information such as temperature, humidity, generator fuel level etc. > SiteRanger SR2 modules include dedicated purpose configurations that allow the end user to decide which site devices should be monitored and to add these devices as required over time instead of pre-purchasing the entire monitoring infrastructure in advance. This ala carte approach saves cost and still allows the SiteRanger system to be future proof by allowing new modules to be added over time in the future as new equipment is added or selected to be monitored.
