(CFI), is a nonprofit corporation serving North Carolina students and families since 1955, which administers a loan portfolio of more than $3.3 billion, including low-interest federal education loans, in addition to the state's college grant programs and the tax-advantaged "529" college savings program on behalf of the N.C. State Education Assistance Authority. Result: $65,000 fundraising goal reached and construction of a home completed in Fall 2012 in the Smith Farm neighborhood off Hwy 150 south of Kernersville. - Kairos Prison Ministry: Central Prison Kairos Advisory Board member (as of September 2013 to present) & Thirteen year volunteer; also financial secretary/kairos Donor coordinator. Kairos is a worldwide ecumenical prison ministry for men and women in mostly maximum security prisons. Kairos NC has been operating at Central Prison for 20 years and in multiple others prisons in NC currently. - Main Street United Methodist Church, Kernersville: Member since 1982 and Volunteer; prior Board chair, Lay Leader, Chair of Mission and Outreach committee, etc; youth home-repair mission trips via Appalachia Service Project and ReCreation Ministries; Chancel Choir ; volunteer in our Community Garden ; facilitated Disciple bible studies; coordinated our Community action day (Hands Together) in mid- September annually; - Trained Stephen Minister- sponsored by Main Street UMC, Kernersville NC, since 2011 [ ] Page 4 of 5
