1 RCSI Institute of Leadership Postgraduate Online Application Process Information Guide Date 20/01/2015 This document is intended to provide guidance to applicants who are applying for a postgraduate programme at the RCSI Institute of Leadership. It is recommended that applicants read through the entire document before attempting to complete an online application. We recommend that you have the required documentation to hand and in the correct format prior to commencing the application. Our current programmes on offer are MSCHCM MSc in Healthcare Management MSCL MSc in Leadership MSCQH MSc in Quality & Safety in Healthcare Management Please complete the relevant MSc programme application even if you wish to apply for a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma. Anyone applying for a Postgraduate Certificate must complete the relevant modules in one academic year. Students applying for the Postgraduate Diploma must complete within 2 academic years. Applicants for the MSc must complete within 5 years. Please note that deferral on any programme. Please see the student fees policy at To access the online application form, please click on Once you have entered the online application system, you will be presented with the screen below. (Screen 1) Select the 'Postgraduate' option.

2 Screen 2: All the Institute of Leadership Postgraduate courses which have an online application form enabled will be listed on this screen. Click 'Select' next to the appropriate Institute of Leadership course for which you wish to apply. Screen 3: Click select to progress the application. This screen outlines the application requirements. Note: When progressing from one screen to the next, please use the continue and back buttons on the bottom of the screen rather than using the browser buttons.

3 Screen 4: Enter your personal details; all mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*). Click 'Continue' when all personal details are entered. Screen 5: Enter your 3rd level education and employment history; all fields are mandatory for each record. If you wish to enter more than three records, click 'Add Another'. When your complete 3rd level education history has been entered, click 'Continue'. Note: At this stage if you wish to 'Save & Exit' your application, an will be sent to the address you provided in your personal details, with a link back to your saved details. (Note: If you do not receive an , please check the Spam or Junk folders in your mailbox as the may have been directed there.

4 Screen 6: Please enter details of your previous and/or current employment. Search the drop down list in the Job Description field for a role that best describes your job. If there is no suitable choice, please select Other. For your current employment, do not enter an End Date and select Yes in the Current field. If you wish to enter more than three records, click 'Add Another'. When your complete employment history has been entered, click 'Continue'.

5 Screen 7: For all courses with the RCSI Institute of Leadership, there is a requirement to upload a photo and a copy of transcript(s). Click 'choose file' to locate your saved image ( preferably jpg format), and then click 'Upload'. To upload files relevant to your application E.g CV or academic transcripts in the 'File' field, click choose file, find your file, enter a description of the file E.g Transcript into the 'Description' field and then click Upload. Please upload files in PDF format where possible. To upload each additional file, follow the step above. You will see your uploaded files, in the 'Documents' section at the bottom of the screen. When you have uploaded your photo and documents, click 'Continue'. Screen 8: Survey questions: Please enter details of other courses and experience relevant to your application. A maximum of 2000 characters can be entered. This box should include any professional development or post graduation courses you have completed. Once all the details are entered, click Continue.

6 Please identify your source of funding from one of the options given. Once complete, click Continue. Please provide details for the marketing question Once complete, click Continue. Please provide details on any relevant disability information. Once complete, click Continue

7 Please provide details (student number) if you were a previous student of the RCSI. Note: alumni of RCSI are entitled to a 10% discount on their full fees. When you are satisfied that all the information contained in this form is correct, select the I declare that the form was completed correctly box.

8 Screen 9 Payment page: There is a non-refundable payment of 100 payable for all application forms. Please click the Pay Now button. Enter your card details as requested and select Pay Now.

9 Screen 10: This is a summary screen of the details you entered for your application, scroll through the details and check that they are correct. When satisfied that your details are correct, click the tick box in the 'Summary' section at the top of the page. To submit your application click 'Continue', (bottom right-hand corner of this screen) You will then receive an to confirm that your application has been submitted. We will be in contact in due course either with an offer letter, request for further information or request for you to talk to the Programme Director.
