1 Online Application Instruction Document This document is intended to provide guidance to applicants who are applying for/msc in Bereavement Studies (also known as Postgraduate Diploma/MSc Bereavement Studies). It is recommended that applicants read through this entire document before attempting to complete the online application. If you have any queries related to completing this online application please contact Maura Dunne by at or by phone at Please select the link to the online application from the RCSI website or copy and paste the link below into your preferred browser: Screen 1: Once you have entered the online application system, you will be presented with the screen below. Select 'Postgraduate' as highlighted in Figure 1 below. Figure 1 Page 1 of 16

2 Screen 2: All the Postgraduate courses which have an online application form enabled will be listed on this screen. Click 'Select' next to the MSCBER course as highlighted in Figure 2 below. Figure 2 Page 2 of 16

3 Screen 3: Click 'Continue' to progress. NOTE: When progressing from one screen to the next - please use the 'Continue' and 'Back' buttons on the bottom of the screen rather than using the browser buttons. Figure 3 Page 3 of 16

4 Screen 4: Enter your personal details; all mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*). Click 'Continue' at the bottom of the screen when all personal details are entered. Figure 4 Page 4 of 16

5 Screen 5: Enter your education history - all fields are mandatory. Note: Please include details of all relevant Training and Development courses which you have completed. If you wish to enter more than three records, click 'Add Another'. When you have entered your education history, click 'Continue'. Note: At this stage if you wish to Save and Exit from your application, you can do so by selecting 'Save & Exit'. An will be sent to the address you provided in your personal details, with a link back to your saved details. Figure 5 Page 5 of 16

6 Screen 6: Please enter details of your previous and/or current employment. Search the drop down list in the Job Description field for a role that best describes the job. If there is not a suitable choice - select Other. When you have entered your employment history, click 'Continue'. Figure 6 Page 6 of 16

7 Screen 7: Select browse to access the photograph on your computer. Select upload. When you have uploaded your photograph, click 'Continue'. Figure 7 Page 7 of 16

8 Screen 8: Please confirm Required Details If you selected previous RCSI student on the personal details section please provide your RCSI student number Confirmation of your PPS number is also required at this stage. When you have entered your details, click 'Continue'. Figure 8 Page 8 of 16

9 Word Count Limit on essay type responses maximum of 2000 characters Screen 9: Enter details and responsibilities of your current job in the first field. Please include the Job Title and the name and address of your employer - (A maximum of 2000 characters can be entered). In an essay type response enter details of any Volunteering experience that you have in the second field. In an essay type response enter details of the relevance this MSc to your current role in the third field. Lastly provide details of previous employment (if applicable) and click 'Continue'. 12 Screen 11: Enter details in the relevant fields. When complete, click 'Continue'. Figure 11 Page 12 of 16

13 Screen 12: Please provide details to the Marketing questions. When all data is entered, click 'Continue'. Figure 12 Page 13 of 16

14 Screen 13: Please provide details on your level of Information Technology Experience. When all data is entered, click 'Continue'. Figure 13 Page 14 of 16

15 Screen 14 This is a summary screen of the details you entered for your application - scroll through the details and check that they are correct. It is possible to scroll back and edit any data as required select the Back button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and scroll back to the relevant page if required. When satisfied that your details are correct, click the tick box in the 'Summary' section at the top of the page. To submit your application click 'Finish', (bottom right-hand corner of this screen). You will then receive an to confirm that your application has been submitted.
