1 IDEA MANAGEMENT INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR SUPPLIERS The goal of this guide is to provide instructions to suggest ideas to your buyers on LiveSource. For advanced features or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our staff, using the HELP section of your account in the Toolbar. Version 2.0, Last edited 09/2014

2 Idea Management What is Idea Management? Idea Management is the ultimate collaboration between companies and their supply chain. Suppliers and LiveSource users can submit ideas that will help drive savings, innovation, and quality. Using idea management Idea management can only be used if you are in an address book of a LiveSource company. Then, that company has to activate it on their account. If this is the case, you can go to Idea Management by rolling your mouse over the Leads & Customers tab. From there, click on Customer Ideas. Submitting an idea Once you are on the Idea Management page, which is found by rolling your mouse over Leads & Customers and then clicking on Customer Ideas, you can create an idea.

3 On the bottom right of the screen, there is a big green button that says Create Idea. Click here. A pop up window will come up. Here it asks you to choose which Company you will submit an idea to. If you are in more than one LiveSource company s address book, you will have multiple options here. Once you choose the company, then another drop down box will appear. Here you choose the idea type. This will be based off of the template(s) that the company has chosen for you to use. Once you have made your selections, click on Submit.

4 Now the Idea Template will appear. Fill in all aspects of your idea. The Suggestion #, your Supplier Code and the Company name will already be populated. The rest of the attributes are for you to fill in appropriately. Anything with an asterisk next to it has been made a mandatory field. When you have completed filling out your idea, click Submit. Once submitted, you will return to the Idea Management view. Viewing and editing ideas submitted You can view and edit all of the ideas that you have previously submitted. Roll your mouse over Leads & Customers and click on Customer Ideas. Here you can view and / or edit your ideas that were already submitted.

5 Some of the fields will not be filled in. The Contact Name will only be filled in once a LiveSource user validates the idea. To view the idea, click on the Idea Number. You can edit the idea by clicking Edit at the bottom of this screen. Alternatively, you can check the box to the left of the Idea Number that you would like to edit from the page with all of the ideas. Then press Edit Idea above the table with the Ideas. You can also check the box and then click Edit Idea at the bottom of the screen.

6 To edit the idea, fill in any of the attributes or change them as you did when you originally submitted the idea. When you are done, once again press Submit at the bottom of the page. Sending a message about your idea Once your idea has been assigned or validated by the LiveSource company, you can send a message about your idea to them. Go to the Idea List. Open the Idea you would like to send a message about. Click on the Messages tab at the top of the Idea. Here you can view all of the messages that have been sent to you related to the idea as well as send your own message. To view and respond to a message, click on the subject to open the message. Click on the Reply button on the bottom right if you would like to respond.

7 You will be able to see the messages related to your ideas both within the Messages tab in each Idea and also in your Inbox. Your received messages will be in Ideas Management folder. Your sent messages will be in the Recently Sent folder.
