6 1.3 SCIROCCO - Aerodynamic Features The Basic Principle of the SCIROCCO System Wind causes the system to generate lift on the roof area. It consequently pulls on the roof membrane as well as the solar PV system. The unique SCIROCCO system construction allows the suction effect to be transferred throughout the entire system. Even without mounting hardware and very low ballast (if any), the SCIROCCO system remains stable and securely positioned on the roof. 6
