2 Dear colleagues, it is a great pleasure to invite you to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Charter Saar Lor Lux Rhineland-Palatinate Wallony. As a sign of continuity and stability for the interregional network of universities, the anniversary will be celebrated on October 30th and 31st 2014 at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern on Campus Zweibrücken addressing the motto Open and boundless. We express our thanks to the organization team which have realized this important meeting and to the Charter who enabled the ceremonial act at the Hotel Landschloss Fasanerie in Zweibrücken. We are looking forward to welcoming you here in Zweibrücken. The focus will address new media, such as digital teaching strategies, learning technologies as well as consumer-, internet- and social media technologies that are changing the future of academic education as key technologies. In particular, Open Educational Resources (OER), Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and blended learning concepts represent open and unlimited opportunities for collaboration in research and teaching for universities. The TrèvesPunkt Reed Quintet Ensemble will musically accompany the ceremony. A shuttle bus will run between campus and hotel.
