3 1. COURSES AND COURS PROFILES The Sellaronda HERO race is well known for its steep and long uphill climbs. 9 The last 1000 m The last km of the course is the same for both courses 85 km and 60 km. From the area of La Selva 1,558 m a right turn leads onto a single trail. The easy descent on the single trail inside the forest ends after 700 m in front of the Hotel Promenade. After a few metres of paving stones the course leads again on the right side into a very narrow single trail with about 20 m of slight uphill. 50 m to the finish line the single trail a sharp left turn leads from the single trail onto the asphalt road and a slight S leads to the finish line, which is situated in Nives square (1,543 m). Technical assistance is allowed in the provided technical zones only, in boxes out of the race course in order not to hamper the competitors. Bicycle spare parts and tools for the bikes must be put down in the technical assistance zones. In each zone feeding and technical assistance can be done. In addition to the technical assistance in the provided technical zones, technical assistance is allowed outside of these zones between competitors belonging to the same team or same representation. The competitors can carry tools and spare parts with them as long as these do not pose any danger to themselves and to others. 11

One person for each team will be transported to the service point. Teams need to reserve a seat on Friday 26 th of June at the team managers meeting. Meeting point shuttle bus: Parking Medel Center, Str. Meisules 22, Selva Gardena Start time shuttle bus: 9.30 am Note: No more than one person for each team is accepted.
