1 Bulletin n. 3 30th June DAYS DOLOMITEN S ORIENTEERING TOUR 2015 Dolomiti Orienteering Tour 2015 is organised by F.I.S.O. (Italian Orienteering Federation) Trentino Committee, together with the sport associations G.S. Pavione A.S.D., U.S. Primiero A.S.D., A.S. Cauriol A.S.D., Orienteering Pergine A.S.D. and Park World Tour Italy A.S.D. Dolomiti Orienteering Tour 2015 is an orienteering competition of five days, where runners will be classified according to the overall time of the 5 scheduled races (all 5 will count for the general ranking). Start: Punch and go. Time keeping: Sport-Ident. You can rent a SI-Card for 10 /day, or 30 /week, with 20 deposit. Rental will be available at the Event centre (arena/finish area) from one hour before the first start of every race. BIB numbers: you will get a BIB number. You can get your BIB number: Event centre opening: - on 11th July 2015 at the Event centre in hotel Bellavista, address: Via Pizzegoda, 5, Cavalese TN, from to Please also check your payment and your medical certificate. - one hour before the first start, at every race, at the race arena. Control description: only printed on the map. First aid: For every race there will be first aid point and ambulance at the finish area. Refreshment: For every race there will be refreshment (water) at the finish area. Prize giving: Prize giving for each race, after the last arrival, at the race arena. Prize for the first classified. Overall prize giving ceremony will be held Friday, 17th July at The prizes will for the best 3 of each category on the overall ranking. Complaints/Race jury: Possible complaints will be judged by FISO jury, nominated for each stage. 1

Open land with scattered trees, and forest with mainly coniferous woods; rock and contours details are frequent in some areas; few paths. Good runnability and visibility. Orienteering shoes recommended. 1400m-2000m above sea level Start: There are 2 starting points, 25 minutes walking from the finish area (1800m with 180m climb) P1 - cat. Beginners, MW12, MW14 P2 other categories Race arena: at the starting point of the skilift. Showers: not available. Restaurant: at the Restaurant El Zirmo (tel: ) typical regional kitchen Other notes: The race area is partially in the Natural Park of Paneveggio and Pale di San Martino di Castrozza. 3 Bulletin n. 3 30th June 2015 Monday, 13th July Alpe Tognola San Martino di Castrozza Organised by U.S. Primiero A.S.D Event centre opening First start Last start Parking: at the starting point of the cable-car Tognola in San Martino di Castrozza (GPS: 46, ,799203) Travel time from parking to meeting point: The meeting point can be reached with the cable-car Tognola, which requires an admission with fee. For all who entered to the races, we will give a free ticket. The travel time of the cable-car is around 20 minutes + the possible waiting time of the cable-car. Meeting point: at the arrival of the cable-car Tognola in San Martino di Castrozza. Map: Alpe Tognola Scale 1: eq. 5m - Symbols ISOM 2000 Plastig bag available at the start Race: middle Alpe Tognola is on the top of a mountain plateau over the famous tourist center of San Martino di Castrozza. It's a beautiful window in front of the Pale di San Martino in the natural park of Paneveggio e Pale di San Martino. Typical alpine open terrain. Plenty of rock and contour details. Mixed runnability from good to very slow (due to undergrowth and rocky terrain). Orienteering shoes recommended. 1900m-2200m above sea level Start: 5 minutes from the meeting point; 300m with 30m climb Race arena: at the arrival of the cable-car Tognola Showers: not available Restaurant: at the restaurant Tognola typical regional kitchen. Easy proposal for 15, including a first course, apple strudel, a drink, go&return ticket cable-way. First course at your choice between: Lasagne alla cacciatora, Spatzle Tyrol style, Strangolapreti Trentino style, bis with strangolapreti or gnocchi with butter and pasta with deer bolognaise or mushroom&speck. Ziano A.S.D Event centre opening First start Last start Meeting point: at the sport centre of Ziano di Fiemme Parking: near the meeting point (5 minutes walking from the arena) (GPS: 46, ,556751) Map: Ziano - validated FISO CO 484 Scale 1: eq. 2.5m Symbols ISSOM 2007 Drawing: Marco Bezzi Plastig bag available at the start Race: sprint Mountain village with some old buildings and narrow passageways, surrounded by fields. Many man-made features and little contour detail. Very good to excellent runnability. Mix of roads and hard surfaces and grass. 950m-1100m above sea level Traffic will not be closed. Pay attention to the traffic! Monitored pedestrian crossings. Running shoes without spikes are recommended. Start: at 200m from the meeting point Race arena: at the sport centre of Ziano di Fiemme Showers: available at the sport centre Restaurant: possibility of pasta party at the meeting point stand, after the race Other notes: please pay attention to the traffic and to the pedestrian crossings. Mix of alpine, pine, spruce and beech forest. The terrain is a mix of areas with good visibility, forest with good running condition, and areas where vegetation is more dense and running speed is reduced. 1100m-1400m above sea level Orienteering shoes recommended.
