8 CETYS University and Grupo Compostela CETYS offers a wide array of international and national experiences through student and faculty mobility, double degree programs, summer programs, short term courses, language courses, international lecturers and conferences Valuable opportunities to gain knowledge, expertise and cultural sensitivity Strategic partnerships with universities located in key regions such as North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific and the European Union. Our current memberships with regional and international organizations includes (among others): ACE and HACU in the US, CONAHEC in North America, IOHE and Universia in Iberoamerica, IAU and IMHE based in France, and IAUP AMERICAN COUNCIL ON EDUCATION, HISPANIC ASSOCIATION FOR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES, CONSORTIUM FOR NORTH AMERICA HIGHER EDUCATION, INTERAMERICAN ORGANIZATION FOR HIGHER EDUCATION, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITUES, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY PRESIDENTS.

9 CETYS University and Grupo Compostela Active collaboration agreements and a long withstanding history of joint initiatives with North American Universities, South American Institutions, as well as Universities in Asia. Sharing best practices, we are confident that the proposal to join the Compostela Group will help both current members internationalization strategy as well as our global framework. CETYS University inclusion into Grupo Compostela will provide new, innovative opportunities and access to information, publications, workshops and training. This will translate into a platform for a more extensive range of activities in areas of interest, both for our institution and Grupo Compostela s members.

10 CETYS University and Grupo Compostela Specific examples / ideas: We currently organize two Joint Conferences in Asia: An International Conference in Biotechnology and a Conference in Business, Management and Engineering. Both venues excellent opportunities to share research and publish latest work, as well as to create a wider network of academic contacts. We are extremely active in short programs (1 week to 4 weeks) abroad, and are continuously sending students in academic stays, cultural visits, internships, and community service abroad. Compostela Group members are welcome to join these programs. Our strategic lines of research, divided by area and sub-area of knowledge are an excellent way to join hands and motivate faculty to research and publish jointly We are strategically located in North America (right in the center of the Cali-Baja Mega Region, comprised of Baja California in Mexico and California and part of Arizona in USA). Our three Campuses and infrastructure can be used for academic activities by the Compostela Group or any of its members to target both Mexico and USA.
