1 PNB-UNIV-E LEARNING PORTAL Compiled by: Madhu Bhandari Sr. Faculty,RSC,Lucknow Knowledge Transfer is the new mantra that is gaining more acceptance than the traditionally accepted definition of education. Class Rooms today transcend limitation of time, space, race and language. The internet has revolutionized the concept of distant education. However there are certain factors that differentiate the good and the better from the mediocre and the average. In pursuit of Bank s mission of transformation through digitalization, PNB UNIV the Mobile App based e-learning platform has been launched on Bank s 122 nd Foundation Day for the members of PNB Parivar. PNB UNIV has been introduced with the mission Bringing Learning to the People instead of People to Learning. It aims at filling up the training gaps faced by staff in the field and to give them a 24 x 7, anytime, anywhere access to learning, Creation of mechanisms for providing and ensuring uniformity of course contents across all platforms viz. E-Learning, Classroom Trainings and On-Location Programs. This portal is accessible to all the employees through Mobile App, web & CBS. It will provide an opportunity to study subject-wise concepts of Banking in the form of capsule courses/topics. In future it may take shape of virtual class-room, where employees will be able to interact with Trainers to get clarifications on all their doubts and shall learn Banking while seated on their desks. We give below a brief introduction of PNB UNIV (Learning Management System - LMS) and how the system shall function so that staff members may understand its functioning and usage: Learning Management System: PNB UNIV has been set-up through a web-based Learning Management System (LMS) i.e. a software package that enables the management and delivery of online

2 training content to learners/ employees. The e-learning contents and courses will be regularly updated & uploaded in this system. PNB UNIV App is available at Google Play Store. It is also accessible through (CBS Link) or (Internet Link). This being Web-based application, will facilitate anytime, anyplace and any pace access to learning content and administration. With the implementation of mobile App based e-learning, we have ushered in a new era in the field of learning. By doing this, we have taken learning to the doorsteps of each and every employee. It would have wider reach, speed and reduced cost. It would also aim at Learning Inclusion for all the employees. Benefits of LMS vis-à-vis classroom trainings: The major benefits of the e learning over traditional classroom based learning will be: Flexibility to Learn Anytime, Anywhere on 24*7*365 basis. Cost effective. PNB UNIV makes it easy to track, update, and manage online learners. Online learners can take training just before they need it rather than enrolling in a program months before they need the training or refresher class. Web-based training is delivered uniformly in a consistent framework, which increases understanding and absorption of the material. Employees can learn at a pace that works for their individual learning style and life circumstances. Seamless integration with HRMS. Online learning features also have academic benefits. From the employee viewpoint, frequent assessment provides concept reinforcement and increases motivation. Concept of social learning by enabling the learners to share the knowledge among themselves through Discussion Forum, Question/Answer etc. The User ID for accessing these links is the HRMS User ID i.e. PF No. and the default login password is date of birth (ddmmyy).

3 Navigation to access PNB UNIV PNB UNIV ON CBS PNB UNIV access link on Non-CBS Applications Home Page PNB UNIV access link for CBS as well as Internet on E-Circular site. Alternatively PNB UNIV can be accessed on CBS at & (Internet Link).

4 On log in page, enter your User ID as PF No. and the default login password is date of birth (ddmmyy) On Home page, five dashlets are available, which can be accessed by scrolling right or left Available E-Learning - Courses available to all employees My e-courses - All courses available to specific employee New Assigned e-courses - Latest Course made available In progress e-courses - Courses which have been accessed by user but not yet completed Completed e-courses - Courses which have been completed by user Whenever, new course contents are uploaded, an notification is sent to the user. You can also change your password under Change Password in My Profile as explained in next screen

5 While changing password, please note that minimum Password Length should be 8 characters. Password must contain alphabets, special characters and numerals. E.g. some@148and#12 Please save after changing password. As other user details have been updated from HRMS, is suggested that any change may please be made in HRMS, so that it gets updated automatically. Click Dashboard to come back to home page

6 ACCESSING e- COURSES Click on the course, you want to access. Gist of Circulars & Banking & Finance News & are also available on Home page You can also click on Learning Center to view all courses available to user To go back to home page at any point, click Dashboard

7 If a course has more than one topic, following screen will appear, select the desired topic and course contents will appear on the screen alongwith audio of the text. Scroll up or down to select desired topic for learning

8 Following screen either in A format or in B format (Next Page) will appear: For following format, click here to proceed to next slide A Click to view course contents available in the topic, you can selected slide directly. After you have viewed all slides, click and proceed on the Close. After you have finished course/topic, its status will change to 100%, which signifies that all slides have been seen by the user.

9 For format B type contents, click here to proceed to next slide B After you have viewed all slides, click Exit to close. You can go through various course contents available in PNB UNIV as per your convenience i.e. Learning 24 X 7, anywhere

10 PNB UNIV ON MOBILE APP Download PNB UNIV (Mobile App) from Google Play Store, and proceed to log in Next Screen Enter User ID & Password to log in

11 Next Screen Click to log in Three tabs reflect status of different courses attempted: Not Started - No. of courses available but not yet started/completed by user Started - No. of courses which have been started but not yet completed by user Completed - No. of courses completed by user List of above courses can be viewed by clicking the respective tab
