Eaton s closed transition soft load transfer switches are designed to avoid the interruption of electricity supply when both sources of power are available. This is accomplished by synchronizing the two available sources through the active control of the generator set voltage and frequency, followed by a make-before-break transfer operation. Eaton s closed transition soft load switch uses an integrated microprocessorbased power controller to make active paralleling of two power sources possible. It manages the speed governor and voltage regulator of the generator set to bring the two sources into synchronization.
