1 Student Reference Sheet MyCampus Portal Username OLOL College Address # # Our Lady of the Lake College students use the following applications across campus to access technology and information services. Please keep this information in a secure location as you begin your studies here at OLOL College. Please note: Student computer credentials are different than MyCampus Portal credentials. Students must use their OLOL College Student username/password to access student computers located on campus. Please call the Information Services Support Center if you need assistance with credentials. MyCampus Portal MyCampus Portal, most commonly referred to as the Portal, is the application used to access technology services at OLOL College. The Portal includes links to Student , Web Services, Moodle, and other important services. Student Official form of communication for the College. Students use accounts for all forms of communication on campus. Student addresses are firstnamelastname@ololcollege.edu. WebServices WebServices is the Student Online Information System. Students will need to access Web Services for Online Registration, Payments, Financial Aid Information, and official Midterm/Final grades. 1. Log in: Open an internet browser> portal.ololcollege.edu 2. Username: firstnamelastname (no spaces, all lowercase) 3. Password: Temp (last 4# of SSN, Note the capital T) All passwords need to be 8 characters long with 1 capital letter and 1 number. You will be asked to reset your password upon initial login. 1. Log in: MyCampus Portal> Launchpad> Student icon 2. Username: firstnamelastname 3. Password: temp (last 4# of SSN, Note the lowercase t) You will be asked to reset your password upon initial login. Before 1. Log in: MyCampus Portal> Launchpad> WebServices for Students icon 2. Username: Automatically logged in through Portal 3. Password: No password needed if logged in through Portal PASS THE WORD Never share your password with anyone! This includes other students, instructors, Lake Security and OLOL College/FMOLHS Information Services (IS). Keep your password in a secure manner. For example, never write your password on a sticky note and post it beside your computer. Change your password every 180 days or immediately if it is compromised. If you forget your username and/or password for MyCampus Portal and/or Student , please contact the Information Services Support Center. 2 Setting up MyCampus Portal Account OLOL College Application Information Your OLOL College MyCampus Portal Username may also be referred to as your Network account. When this password is changed your password is now changed for the below applications. APPLICATION DESCRIPTION ACCESS INFORMATION Moodle WebServices Learning Management System (LMS) used for all classes at OLOL College. This is where you can find course information for face-to-face, blended, and online courses. Student Online Information System used for official registration, payments, financial aid, and official posting of midterm/final grades. How do students set up their MyCampus Portal Account for the first time? Step-bystep instructions are provided to you by accessing the PDF tutorial. 1. Log in: MyCampus Portal > Launchpad > Moodle Icon 2. Username: OLOL College MyCampus Portal Username 3. Password: Same as MyCampus Portal *Logon is automatic through MyCampus Portal. 1. Log in: MyCampus Portal > Launchpad > WebServices for Students Icon 2. Username: OLOL College MyCampus Portal Username 3. Password: Same as MyCampus Portal *Logon is automatic through MyCampus Portal. Please note: Your OLOL College Password will not automatically change if you change your MyCampus Portal password. Log in: Computer Network > Wi-Fi > CollegeNet 2. Username: Not necessary > Read and agree to terms and services 3. Password: Not necessary > Read and agree to terms and services 2
3 WebServices for Students WebServices is the Student Online Information System for Our Lady of the Lake College. Students use WebServices to find important information regarding financial aid, registration and midterm/final grades. Please review the instructions below for accessing WebServices. Instructions for Accessing WebServices To access, students must have been admitted to the College and have an active student record. If you are unable to access WebServices, please contact the ISSC. portal.ololcollege.edu. 2. Type in your Portal Username and password in the Login ID box and select login. 3. This will bring you to the front page of the Portal. 4. Click the WebServices for Students icon on the Launchpad. 5. You will automatically be logged in from the Portal. 4 Moodle is the Learning Management System (LMS) used by the College for course work and information for face-to-face, blended, and online courses. Students may access class materials, assignments, and grades for currently enrolled classes. To Access Moodle portal.ololcollege.edu. 2. Type in your Portal Username and password in the Login ID box and select login. 3. This will bring you to the front page of the Portal. 4. Click the Moodle icon on the Launchpad. 5. You will automatically be logged in from the Portal. Moodle Viewing Courses in Moodle All courses are loaded approximately five days before the first day of class. You should be able to view all courses you are registered for on or before the course start date. You will find a list of your courses in the course overview. If you do not see a course listed in Moodle, please contact the instructor. If the issue requires additional assistance, we will direct your request to the proper department. Track your open tickets by referencing the assigned Footprints ticket number when calling. All issues for OLOL College usernames and passwords can be reported to the IS Support Center. The OLOL College IS Support Center is supported by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System Information Services (FMOLHS IS).
