3 Assistance Programs Homeless Shelters Memphis Union Mission - Men s Homeless Shelter Poplar Avenue Memphis, TN Offers nutritious meals, shelter, and an invitation to enter a 30-day awareness program as a first step to recovery from substance abuse. Takes in transient, mentally ill, or homeless men. Houses 30 men in their awareness program before graduating new clients to Calvary Colony. Memphis Union Mission - Intact Family Shelter Safe haven for families, 3 bedroom home for up to 90 days (more time is conditional), depends on availability. Food supplements, clothing, and shelter are provided, must pass drug test, must have transportation with insurance, male must be employed, must show efforts to move out on own within 30 days, subject to availability. Must show proof of income. Hours 7:30 am to 6 pm. Dental University of Tennessee (adults) (children) of 32

Provides emergency aid in areas of food, clothing, utilities, rent, and medicine. Further assistance is also given through information, referrals, encouragement and advocacy. Requirements for services: proof of residency, Social Security Cards and birth dates on all in household, proof of household income. Verifications pertinent to client s situation and request; e.g. copy of bills, proof of unemployment, proof of effort to seek employment, etc. 9 of 32
