1 UDS ONLINE Management Information System (UDS MIS STUDENT PORTAL) Student Guide Before Sign in New Users You will need a passport photograph, an ACTIVE e mail address and a mobile phone number. Recommended accounts are the institutional (@uds.edu.gh) or Gmail. Provide your Student ID number and the default password on the Sign in page to start your accounts activation process. NOTE: For fresh students use the Newly admitted, click here link and follow the instructions. INFORMATION VERIFIER o Kindly verifier YOUR information. Click Yes->to confirm OR No->to decline. PROFILE PICTURE o Upload your passport sized photograph through this page. o Note: This passport picture will be printed on all documents obtained from this site. Do not send a complete photograph of yourself. PROFILE SETTINGS o Provide your profile details (gender, date of birth, e mail address, mobile phone number, etc) on this page. o Note: You must use an active E MAIL address through which an activation code will be delivered to you. An address DOES NOT begin with www. ACCOUNT ACTIVATION

2 o Complete your account activation by providing the activation code that is delivered to your address. o Note: If you have not received the activation code, RE SEND it or verify your e mail address at PROFILE SETTINGS (by clicking the << back to profile settings). You can also Skip this step by clicking if you want. Existing users o Provide your Student ID and Password to and click Sign In. After Sign In After every successful Sign In you can access the following services on the site. HOME o Visit here to obtain information on current registration information and others. COURSE REGISTRATION o CHECK COURSES o Check available courses to be registered in your programme and level on this page. o COURSE REGISTRATION o Use this page to go through the course registration process. If registration is due in any trimesters, you will be shown your TRAILED and PREVIOUSLY DEFERRED courses (if available) that will be registered first. You will then be given the current CORE and ELECTIVE courses to make your selection in the registration process. o NOTE: Course registration will available throughout the registration period and will be closed if the period expires. Opportunity may be given for the edit of your registered courses if need be by your department. o EDIT REGISTRATION o Use this page to edit your registered courses before registration date expires. You can remove, defer or add courses on this page. You can also De-register your courses to restart registration process again.

3 FEES o Check your fee history on this page RESULTS o Two type of results can be accessed: o PROVISIONAL RESULTS Get all your results for any trimester directly on the site after it has been verified by the appropriate quarters prior to final publication. o FINAL RESULTS Obtained your final published results with appropriate CGPAs on this page. ASSESSMENT FORM o Use this page to assess the courses you study and/or lecturers who lecture those courses. Only courses you register can be assessed by you. MAILS o Check for incoming mails. You can also send any complaint you have to your EXAMS OFFICER, HOD or the DEAN on this page. CLEARANCE o Obtain CLEARANCE FORM from this page after you have completed your studied and have settled all liabilities with the UNIVERSITY. PROFILE PICTURE o This page provides you the opportunity to change your profile passport picture. CHANGE PASSWORD o Use this page to change your password MY PROFILE o Use this page to access your basic information. You can change your address or your telephone number on the page. If changing your address, make sure you use a correct and active address.

5 STUDENTS COURSE REGISTRATION GUIDE HOW TO REGISTER TRIMESTER COURSES. 1. Login to your account on

6 2. Click Main window 3. Check whether you have courses to register by clicking Check courses.

7 4. Select Course registration to start the registration process. If registration session is opened, you will be given the trails and deferred courses page. 5. For fresh students, click Next to proceed. For continue students, check if you have any trails or defers (click Next to proceed).

8 6. Core and Elective courses. All courses will be displayed in the following order: course code course title - credit hours a. Core courses. For fresh student leave all the core courses. Continue students have the option to defer any of the core courses by selecting them and clicking Defer. b. Elective courses. You have the option to Remove or Defer any of them. c. Total credit hours. If your total credit hours are within range, the Finish button will be active for you to complete your registration. d. Click Save to save your current course to complete it later e. Click Finish to complete your registration. f. View and print your registration form and submit to your faculty/department personally for verification.

10 HOW TO EDIT YOUR REGISTRATION Before your registration form is verified, you can always edit your course registration. However, after verification you cannot edit anything. It is an opportunity for you to add or remove courses you like. You cannot edit your registration if you did not register previously. NOTE: After you edit your registration and save, your previous registration form is no longer valid. Procedure: 1. Click on Edit Course Registration. 2. Add/ remove courses you want. 3. Click Submit. 4. Print out your new registration form for verification.

11 HOW TO DE-REGISTER MY COURSES You can De-register and re-register your courses anytime your department change the courses you previously registered or when you want to re-start the whole registration process again. When you De-register, all your registration data for the trimester is deleted from the system. You will have to register again. Procedure: 1. Login into your account. 2. Select Edit Course registration. 3. Move to the bottom part of the page and click on De-register me. 4. Click OK to confirm your operation. 5. Go and re-register again.
