Best practices 6th district unit of the Valencian Local Police A geothermic system that uses the energy from the ground to produce a combined savings in energy consumption and emissions to the atmosphere. Up to 40% savings compared to a similar building.
Participation in European Projects Transition Cities Innovative low-carbon project Pilot projects and experiments in the fields of each of the six strategic clusters: Cluster 1: Low-energy buildings. Cluster 2: Energy demand management. Cluster 3: Co-generation and renewable energy. Cluster 4: Generating energy from waste. Cluster 5: Low Power Vehicles. Cluster 6: Integrated Mobility.
Participation in European Projects Transition Cities Smart Bicycle Urban Heat Island Dynamic urban environmental mapping The design and production of a mobile interface device that links heat and humidity characteristics of the urban space with the physical morphology of the city (street wide, building height, pavement materials, green areas, parking, traffic) that can be expressed in a GIS-cartography. Ecodriving More efficient and safe driving Inclusion of monitoring technologies and vehicle test systems that measure the driving style to provide a systematic methodology to educate and train drivers of public fleets and citizens.
Participation in European Projects Public Procurement of Innovation in Action (PPIA) PPIA aims to increase understanding of the methodologies of procurement to boost innovation (PPI), its types, efficiency and adaptability, and disseminate to all stakeholders (supply / demand) community-kic and beyond that seeks to identify new forms of innovation to reduce climate change. Objectives: Identification and sharing of good practice. Practical application and demonstration of public innovation procurement. Key issues identified by the Climate-KIC: Housing and built environment Mobility (carbon emissions in transport) Energy networks
Participation in European Projects SMILE - Smart Green Innovative Urban Logistics for Energy Efficient Mediterranean Cities Development and implementation of innovative strategies, plans and measures for energy efficiency and mobility solutions for Mediterranean smart cities. It will define, plan, review, share and promote public policies, strategies and actions for urban transport solutions.; and awareness of public and private stakeholders in the field, with a direct impact on energy savings.
Participation in European Projects New concrete additives based on titanium dioxide to improve air quality in cities. The titanium dioxide implemented in the concrete of building structures, is activated by sunlight purifying the air. It is intended to extend the use of this type of concrete to the countries of northern Europe with less sunlight.
