Single Events (Women and Men) DATES 2014, from April 16th to April 19th STATUS The "Luxembourg Open Table Tennis Championships" Event is officially recognized by ETTU and ITTF.!!! All played matches will be taken into account for the World Ranking!!!

4 PLAYING SYSTEMS The Single Events will be played according to the progressive knock-out system including round robin at the end, up to determine a final ranking for each player. This system guarantees to each player a high number of matches, most against equivalent opponents. The Single matches will be played best of 7 games. Please note that a maximum of 80 men and 64 women can be accepted for the Single Events. The Team Events' matches (Men and Women) will be played with teams of 2 players, according to a "reduced Corbillon-Cup system" with 2 single matches ( A1 against B1 and A2 against B2 ) and 1 double match, which shall however be played only if the score after the two single matches will be 1:1. In any team match, the highest ranked player in the World Ranking (WR) shall be set on Nr 1 in the team; if both players nominated for the singles in a team match are not ranked in the WR, the organiser may fix a ranking order according to a Continental or a National Ranking. If such a ranking is not known nor available for none of the two players, the seeding of the players in the team match singles is left to the discretion of the team captain. Mixed teams ( i.e. teams composed of players of two different Associations ) will only be accepted if the number of entered teams will be less than 32 teams in the Men's Event or less than 24 teams in the Women's Event. All Team Event individual matches will be played best of 5 games. At least 2 team matches are guaranteed per participating team. Lunch and dinner will be served in the Event venue. ACCREDITATION Accreditation for all participants has to be processed at the Event venue (National Sports and Cultural Centre), directly upon arrival. TRANSPORT Free transportation will be provided by the organizer exclusively from/to Luxembourg Airport or from/to Luxembourg Railway Station. At the Frankfurt-Hahn airport, car rental services are available. Transportation from/to Frankfurt-Hahn airport may be provided by the organizer, but only upon a separate relating agreement and exclusively at the cost of the requesting Association. A free shuttle bus service will be provided between the Event hotel and the Event venue.

6 PRICE MONEY There will be a cash price money for both Single Tournaments, the amount depending on the number of players that actually started at the competition.
