1 Create your signature using Microsoft Outlook Step 1: Please note: This tutorial shows examples from Outlook 2003, but the written instructions are also provided for Outlook * Open Microsoft Outlook and click on the "Tools" menu at the top. * Scroll down to "Options" and click on it. A dialog box opens up. Step 2: * Click on the tab at the top that says Mail Format. * In the "Message Format" section at the top, make sure you have "HTML" selected from the drop-down. * Also enable the Use Mirosoft Office Word 2003 to edit messages. That allows you to include special formatting like colours and graphics in your signature. Step 3: * Then click on the "Signatures button near the bottom to add a new signature. (In Outlook 2000, this is the "Signature Picker" button.) * This will open the "Create Signature" dialog box. (In Outlook 2000, this is called the "Signature Picker" dialog box)
2 Step 4: * Click on the button that says "New" to create a new signature. Step 5: * When the dialog box opens. Then choose to Enter a name for your new signature. * Enter your signature name in the given space below. * Then choose to Start with a blank signature. * Click on Next.
3 Step 6: * Another dialog box opens allowing you to edit the signature. (Be careful while doing this if you are using another file as your signature template. Sometimes editing your signature here will change the formatting.) * Enter the personal information that you would like in your signature. * Use Arial or Tahoma text with the font size set to 10 points. Please use it according to the example given. * Once you are satisfied with your signature, select the Advanced Edit... button. * A popup will appear stating that: This will launch an editor that is not part of Microsoft Office Outlook. Do you want to continue? Click on the Yes button. * A Microsoft Word document will open up with your signature. * The next step will be to add the Centenary logo on your signature within the Word document. Step 7: Add the Centenary logo on your signature * The following link: provides you with JPEG images per faculty. * Save Save the Picture as the desired JPEG image for your signature.
4 Step 8: * Go back to the Microsoft Word document. * Select Insert, Picture and From File. * Choose the signature you saved as picture and select Insert. * The Centenary signature image will appear on the Microsoft Word document. * Select File and Save as... and overright the existing Word document saved as a Web Page. Select Save. * Close the Microsoft Word document. Step 9: * Go back to Microsoft Outlook to the Create New Signature box. * You will notice your signature name on the Signature tab. * Select Ok at the bottom.
5 Step 10: In the "Options" dialog box (with the "Mail Format" tab still selected), choose the corresponding account for your new signature from the "Select signatures for account" drop-down. * Then, select the correct signature(s) from the "Signatures for new messages" and the "Signatures for replies and forwards" drop-downs. (In Outlook 2000, you will simply set your new signature as the default.) Click "OK" to accept your changes and close the dialog box. * Select the Apply button and click OK.
