A short ten minute drive away is Ayora, a larger town with all the facilities you could wish for including banks, medical services, restaurants and supermarkets as well as many traditional style shops. Further away, but within 20 minutes' drive, is an even bigger town, Almansa, with a castle, a large new hospital and railway station. The whole area is surrounded by rural land with olive groves, cereal crops, vineyards and vegetables grown in proliferation. The area is on the edge of a large natural country park and is brilliant for walking, cycling and studying wildlife to name but a few.
