34 Prof. T.Tolio ITIA-CNR Project 1: SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING The goal of the project is to develop enablig technologies to allow cost effective production while minimizing environmental impact, saving energy and natural resources, improving workers and consumers safety. The project takes the move from the Italian industrial culture, the capacity to harmonize eco-design technologies and product personalization and aims at the realization of methodologies and enabling technologies to design and implement product processes and systems which are sustainable along their whole life cycle.

35 Prof. T.Tolio ITIA-CNR Project 2: ADAPTIVE MANUFACTURING The goal of the project is to develop new solutions and technologies to improve flexibility and efficiency of factories to better answer to the market dynamics which requires a continuous evolution. The project aims at developing innovative solutions to make machines, robots and other devices reconfigurable and adaptive.

36 Prof. T.Tolio ITIA-CNR Project 3: SMART MANUFACTURING 2020 The goal of the project is to enhance digital technologies in manufacturing to make enterprises more competitive, efficient, and reactive to market needs. In particular th goal is to incorporate ICT technologies in capital goods to guarantee high production quality and efficiency. To this aim the project will develop manufacturing planning and monitoring systems, new predictive maintenance technologies, new methodologies and tools for virtual prototyping of products and productive processes.

37 Prof. T.Tolio ITIA-CNR Pro 4: HIGH PERFORMANCE MANUFACTURING The goal of the project is to develop new machines and production systems for the intelligent Factories. The aim is to face the dynamic competition by introducing new technological solutions at process and machine level.
