3 Workshop locations Due to considerable interest in the Thursday morning session Intergenerational and perinatal mechanisms of health inequalities and policy, this first session will take place in the auditorium of the CHESS building. CHESS is located in the school for social work, a seven- minute walk from the Hotel Best Western. The remaining sessions will take place in Eugeniahemmet on the campus of Karolinska hospital. The campus is within walking distance from both Hotel Best Western and CHESS (approximately 15 min). A short part of the road to Karolinska campus is quite steep uphill, so if you prefer to go by bus or taxi, there are several options. The buses 3, 59, 73 and 77 go to bus stop Karolinska sjukhuset, five minutes walking distance from Eugeniahemmet. If you wish to go by taxi, please make sure you pick a taxi from one of the major companies Taxi Stockholm, Taxi Kurir or Taxi 020 (for more information, see below) Eugeniahemmet 2

5 Communications Public transportation in Stockholm is quick and safe. Tickets for public transport are sold via agents with the SL sign (such as 7- Eleven or Pressbyrån) and at some metro barriers. There are several ticket options: One- way tickets (36 SEK) Travel cards 48 hours (115 SEK), 72 hours (230 SEK) or 7 days (320 SEK) SL Access credit Purchase a SL access card for 20 SEK and charge it with any credit you like. Using this option a one- way fare is 25 SEK Note: You cannot purchase tickets onboard the buses. Metro There are three metro lines (green, red and blue). Hotell Best Western is close to metro stations Odenplan and Rådmansgatan, both operated by the green line. During the week, the metro stops running around 12:30 am and starts around 4:00 am. In the weekend, the metro runs 24 hours. Buses There are several bus lines operating in Stockholm. For a map of bus lines in Stockholm city, see following page. Taxi If you go by taxi, make sure you pick a taxi from one of the major companies (Taxi Stockholm, Taxi Kurir, Taxi 020). Smaller companies (often with similar names) will overcharge you. The receptionist at the hotel or anyone from CHESS will be able to help you. You can also call a taxi yourself: Taxi Stockholm

8 INRICH dinner Wednesday 12 June, 7:00 pm Restaurant Ersta Terass Fjällgatan 45, Stockholm Directions Ersta terass is located on Södermalm, the south island of central Stockholm. If you are staying at Hotel Best Western or any other hotel in the northern part of Stockholm, it is most convenient to go to to Ersta terass by metro, bus or taxi. Please see maps on next page. Metro From metro station Odenplan (close to Hotel Bestwestern) take the southbound green line to metro station Slussen (take the exit Södermalms Torg). From here you can walk to the restaurant (ca 15 min) or take a connecting bus. Bus From metro station Slussen you can take the buses 2, 53, 71 or 96 to bus stop Ersta sjukhus. From here there is only a very short walk to the restaurant. Taxi You can ask the reception at the hotel to order a taxi for you that will take you to Ersta Terass (address: Fjällgatan 45). If you are a large group, you can ask for a taxi van/minibus (taking up to 7 persons) 7

10 Optional weekend activity: Boat trip to Stockholm Archipelago Saturday 14 June Note: You can book your ticket online (see links below) or buy the ticket on the boat before departure. If you decide to buy your ticket on the boat, please make sure to come in good time before departure as the tickets may sell out quickly. Option 1: Sandhamn Departure: 09:30 from Strandvägen (berth 14) Return: 13:30 or 18:30 Duration (one- way): 2 h 45 min Price: 300 SEK / person Welcome to Sandhamn, a classic destination as well as an international sailing centre in the Stockholm archipelago. Around 90 people currently live on the island all year round. The village is full of typical archipelago houses and narrow alleyways, with shops, restaurants, hotels, a coffee shop and a bakery. 11 Option 2: Vaxholm Departure 09:30 or 10:00 from Strandvägen (berth 14) Return: 14:45 or 15:05 Duration (one- way): 50 min Price: 200 SEK / person Vaxholm is the last dock with road connections to the mainland. During this short trip you will be able to enjoy a lighter meal and a drink at the bar or maybe just a cup of coffee. At Vaxholm you are greeted by this piqturesque archipelago town with a vivid harbour, nice boutiques and restaurants and beautiful buildnings.
