Rooms are guaranteed with a valid credit card. The full fee will be collected 30 days before AGM date i.e. 16 th March Delegates must settle their own hotel bills & expenses on departure. Guarantee extras: The Hotel will ask for a deposit or a credit card upon arrival, as a guarantee for extra expenses during your stay. Cancellation Policy: Room cancellation policy is in line with the terms and conditions of the Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel. There is no refund on the prepayment after 16 th March The full accommodation fee is payable for cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival date. No-show: In case of no show the full costs will be charged to your credit card. The ELGI is not responsible for any individual cancellation or any final individual extra charges. Venice, the capital of northern Italy s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a marshy lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. Its stone palaces seemingly rise out of the water. There are no cars or roadways, just canals and boats. The Grand Canal

4 snakes through the city, which is filled with innumerable narrow, maze-like alleys and small squares. ELGI is not responsible for the accuracy of the below information provided by the Hilton Hotel & Venice Tourism November Venice Marco Polo Airport Venice has one official international airport on the shores of the lagoon, called Venice Marco Polo Airport, a convenient boat or bus ride away to the city. Aeroporto di Venezia Marco Polo; IATA code VCE about 8 miles from the city. Some budget airlines land at the nearby airport Treviso. Aeroporto di Treviso; IATA code TSF. Transport from Treviso to Venice about 19 miles is a connecting coach service to Piazzale Roma, the bus terminal in Venice. From here transport by boat only. There is a small airfield on the Island Lido, not for commercial flights, but you can take helicopter tours of the area from here. Transportation from the Airport Travel from Marco Polo Airport into Venice to the Hilton Hotel Public boats and water taxis directly from the airport are by far the best way to arrive in Venice. It can take between 20 to 30 minutes by private water taxi and around 1½ hrs by public water taxi to the Hilton Hotel. Journey time & costs to other areas will vary according to your destination and type of transport. It takes about 9 minutes to walk from the airport arrival hall to the ferries on the lagoon shore. So do find a trolley for your luggage & follow the signs to walk to the lagoon shore. The Hilton Hotel on Giudecca Island has a boat launch at the entrance. A one way private water taxi would cost around 120 for a group of up to 4 people and takes about 20 to 30 minutes to the Hilton Hotel. Tickets for the ferries can be bought in the arrivals hall and also at the jetty. See below for public water taxi to Hilton Hotel launch. Taxi It is also possible to take an ordinary taxi from the airport, but of course they can only take you as far as Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma the only mode of transport is by private water taxi or public water taxi. Further Information on transfers from the Marco Polo Airport provided by Tourist Office The Alilaguna Blue Line stops at the Hilton boat launch too & costs around 15 per person (at date of printing). A one way journey takes about 1½ hrs. Time Table: / Blu / Timetable Alilaguna, the public ferry runs waterbuses (motoscafi) across the lagoon to a number of the major ferry stops in Venice, including San Marco (for the St. Mark's area), Zattere and Arsenale as well as the Lido and Murano. Alilaguna run several different routes, distinguished by colour, so make sure you catch the best one for your destination. A one-way ticket costs 15 and a return is 25 (see transport page for more information) & double check information on return tickets. The ELGI is not responsible for this information advised by Venice Tourism! Check information on transport for late arrivals Transport into Venice is straightforward, although services do stop at night. You should think about your travel plans in advance, as travel within Venice at night can be time-consuming, and the location of your hotel will determine your best route from the airport.

5 If your flight into Venice is delayed until after public transport has ceased for the night (around 1am) then your best option is either Private Water Taxi transfer alternatively take a regular taxi to Piazzale Roma. Expect to pay around 30 to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma the Vaporetto (waterbus) service runs all night, although with reduced frequency and stops. Water Bus tickets in Venice Inspectors board the public transport, so do buy tickets before you board. Tickets for all the airport bus services are available from ticket kiosks inside the terminal building. There are also ticket machines at the stops. If machines do not work, advise the staff or captain on board to get a ticket. Stamp/Validate ticket in the machine provided before you board the bus/water taxi. Bus services into Venice There are two options which link Marco Polo Airport with Piazzale Roma (this is as far into Venice as you can get with land transport). Piazzale Roma is in the corner of Venice alongside the lagoon's road-bridge. You would then use Venice's public boat services to continue your journey - this is why the Alilaguna ferry from the airport is often a quicker option. Buses depart from a row of stops opposite the exits to the airport building; there are electronic departures boards. Car If you travel by car there are a few options to park the car then continue with water bus or water taxi to your destination.
