Bus services provided by Golden Arrow will be affected by these road closures in the Green Point area as well as the CBD on 11 April The affected services in the different areas, as well as their rerouting, are listed below: BUS SERVICES TRAVELLING THROUGH THE GREEN POINT AREA From 17:30 on 11 April 2011 all services along Somerset Rd/Main Rd Greenpoint between Buitengragt and York Road will run along Western Boulevard. Passengers using this service may board or disembark at stops either side of the closure at Buitengragt or York Road BUS SERVICES ENTERING THE CBD The Waterfront service will operate via the CTICC, turning right into Heerengracht, stopping opposite Standard Bank, proceeding around the circle, back down Heerengracht and on to the Waterfront. The Waterfront/Sea Point service will continue to operate on its normal routes but may be subject to slight delays. 1 Neil Diamond Event Communication

2 2. PARKING 2.1. STADIUM General Limited parking is available for private vehicles in the stadium precinct. Parking tickets are available online from Computicket via the following link:- The parking ticket will reflect the parking area and concertgoers must follow the directional temporary road signage that corresponds to the parking area on the ticket e.g P People with Disabilities Dedicated parking has been allocated on DF Malan Drive for those concertgoers with disabilities who wish to use the Stadium shuttle. Only people with an official disability permit from the City will be allowed to park in this dedicated parking area. There is no charge for the limited disabled parking at the stadium but, as with any disabled ticket bought through Computicket, buyers may be asked to verify their disabled status either at the time of purchase or upon entering the parking area at the stadium Coaches Requests for coach parking can be ed to Donne Luddick at before close of business on Thursday 7 th April No Stopping on Event Days Parking in the Green Point Precinct is sold through Computicket. See above. Parking restrictions will be enforced in residential areas adjacent to Cape Town Stadium from 00:00 to 24:00 (midnight) on 11 April Motorists are advised to obey the signage Drop-and-Go Concert goers may be dropped off and collected in DF Malan Drive opposite the Artscape Theatre or dropped off on Western Boulevard (seaside carriageway) between Vlei Road and the elevated circle CBD On street parking is available within the CBD but no additional security will be provided. Parking tariffs will apply until 18:00 when on street parking becomes free of charge WATERFRONT The V&A Waterfront has approximately 3,500 parking bays available to the general public. There is a charge associated with this parking, and traffic flows into and out of the V&A Waterfront may be congested. 3. PUBLIC TRANSPORT Concertgoers are encouraged to use public transport to and from the stadium. Extra event-related public transport will supplement the usual public transport services and Metrorail has arranged for additional trains on selected lines to run after the event. This will ease the anticipated high traffic flows and ensure that fans arrive on time and are able to get home after the event RAIL Travel on event related rail will be free of charge on presentation of a valid concert ticket. PARK-AND-RIDE Park-and-Rides are generally situated near or at rail stations along the Cape Town Bellville (via Monte Vista) and Cape Town Fish Hoek lines. Although the Southern Line (Cape Town to Simon s Town) has extended operational hours with security guards at certain park-and-rides, their presence will not be extended beyond normal operating hours. A bus will leave every 15 minutes or when full. HOUT BAY Route Kronendal Primary School (Hout Bay) via Maiden s Cove (Camps Bay) to Cape Town Stadium. Hout Bay bus stops:- Stop 1 at Kronendal Primary School. Stop 2 circle at ImizamoYetho Stop 3 at Maiden s Cove bus stop on Victoria Road. Stop 4 Main Road Green Point opposite York Road at the Stadium Time of Operation The first bus will leave Hout Bay at 17:00. A bus will leave every 30 minutes or when full. The last bus before the concert leaves Hout Bay at 19:00 and there will be no service during the concert. The first bus after the concert will leave around 22:30 from Main Road, opposite York Road. The last bus back to Hout Bay will leave at 00: Charges The shuttle is free of charge on presentation of a valid event ticket. Parking is available at Kronendal Primary School at R20 per vehicle entry. At Maiden s Cove free parking is available on Victoria Road or in the municipal parking area off street in Victoria Road Security Security will be provided at Kronendal Primary School and off street parking areas in Victoria Road Fleet/Vehicles Contracted buses, with event specific identification, will provide the service. 4 Neil Diamond Event Communication

5 5.3. UCT UPPER CAMPUS, RONDEBOSCH Route University of Cape Town to Civic Centre bus station. UCT bus stops:- Stop 1 on Rugby Road at UCT Sports Centre at the Northern end of the campus. Stop 2 Intersection of the link between Rugby and Ring Roads and University Avenue at the Southern end of the campus. Stop 3 Civic Centre bus station on Hertzog Boulevard in the CBD Time of Operation The first bus will leave UCT at 17:00. A bus will leave every 30 minutes or when full. The last bus before the concert leaves UCT at 19:00 and there will be no service during the concert. The first bus after the concert will leave around 22:30 from the Civic Centre bus station. The last bus back to UCT will leave at 00: Charges The shuttle is free of charge on presentation of a valid event ticket Security Security will be provided at the parking areas Fleet/Vehicles Contracted buses, with event specific identification, will provide the service. 6. PEDESTRIAN ROUTES The Fan Walk provides the opportunity for spectators to move between the Civic Centre bus and Cape Town rail stations to the stadium at Green Point along a dedicated pedestrian route. Roads down the fan walk will be closed from 17:30. A contra-flow system will be provided for local vehicle access on the mountain side carriageway on Main Road in Green Point between York and De Smit Streets. 7. CYCLING Concertgoers wishing to ride to the stadium are encouraged to do so. Racks for locking your bicycle are located on the eastern (Waterfront) side of the elevated circle at the stadium. Cyclists must provide their own lock and chain as bicycles are left at own risk. Please remember the ridesafe motto and wear a helmet, have adequate lighting and wear reflective clothing. (NB: helmets are not allowed inside the stadium.) Bicycles are left at your own risk. Due to the number of people using the Fan Walk, it is advised that cyclists coming from the CBD use the route through the V&A Waterfront or the back roads in De Waterkant to access the stadium. 8.
