5 OPTIMAL SAFETY UNMATCHED ROAD-HOLDING Air suspensions and a wide chassis confer a remarkable level of stability and exemplary road-holding to the Renault Premium Lander. The air-suspended cab ensures both safety and comfort. HIGH-PERFORMANCE BRAKES Renault Premium Lander is equipped with the very latest generation of EBS (Electronic Braking System) electronically-controlled air brakes. Not only does it make hill-starts easier but it can also check the status of the braking system and the temperature of the brake discs at any time. EBS electronic management couples the different braking and retardation systems: service brakes, Optibrake and retarders. Retarder The Intarder (on manual gearboxes) and VOITH (Optidriver+* robotised gearbox) systems can be coupled to the brake pedal; this greatly increases braking performance and significantly extends brake pad life significantly. ESP ESP (Electronic Stability Program) is activated the moment the truck loses contact with the road surface and takes control of each wheel individually to stabilise the vehicle. The power transferred to the steering wheels is reduced so as to minimise the risks of skidding off the road, especially on wet surfaces and in corners. Optibrake Renault Premium Lander has the best braking system on the market. The Optibrake engine brake delivers high retardation power even at low engine speeds: 303 kw at 2,300 rpm; 160 kw at 1,500 rpm (DXi11 engine), making it the most powerful and the most reliable in its category. OPTIBRAKE: 275kW BRAKING POWER AIR PRODUCT MANAGEMENT (APM) Renault Trucks breaks new ground with its electronic air management system, Air Product Management. BODYBUILDING MADE EASY Renault Premium Lander rigids are designed so that bodybuilders can do the quality work demanded by customers. The upper surface of the chassis is smooth and unobstructed to avoid interference between bodywork and truck components. Sidemembers are pre-drilled so that the rear crossmember can be repositioned to adjust the overhang. A bolting kit is supplied to help install the subframe. DAY, GLOBAL OR SLEEPER CAB Renault Premium Lander can receive three types of cabs: - Day cab with 2 or 3 steps (1.6 m deep) for daily missions. - Global cab with 2 steps (2 m deep) and normal roof. - Sleeper cab with 2 or 3 steps (2.2 m deep) and available in 2 versions: normal and raised roof. Sleeper cabs offer the space and comfort needed when spending several nights onboard the vehicle. 7 TECHNICAL PORTRAIT ENGINES GEARBOXES DRIVE AXLES CABS DXi7 and DXi11 Engines The new generation of DXi7 and DXi11 engines, available in 280 hp to 440 hp versions, produces even more power and torque to deliver the type of performance normally achieved by higher cubic capacity engines. 7.2-litre and 10.8-litre, high-pressure injector pump electronic injection engines. Seven gearboxes are available: 4 manual gearboxes and 3 robotised gearboxes. Manual gearbox with Super H pattern control: speeds 5 to 8 superimposed onto speeds 1 to 4. Simply press the button atop the gear lever knob to move from one speed range to the other. Servoshift takes up 75% of the effort. These 8 speeds are split into 16 half-speeds. An electro valve protects the system from gearchanging errors. The Driving Monitoring System gives continuous real-time display of the gear engaged and of the optimal gear.
