1 6D PREMIER INSTRUCTIONS CREATE APPLIQUÉ 1. Open your 6D PREMIER system. 2. Quick link to 6D Design Creator. 3. Select Start New Design with no Picture. Select Next. 4. Select Draw Window. Select Next. 5. Select Change Hoop. 6. In the drop down menu choose: o Hoop Group HUSQVARNA VIKING DESIGNER DIAMOND Royale o Hoop Size 260 x 200 Designer Crown Hoop o Orientation Vertical o Touch OK 7. Select Finish. 8. Select the Preferences icon. 9. On the General tab uncheck the Colour Tolerance option. Select Apply. Touch OK to close the Preferences window.
2 10. In the Colour Select screen choose: a. Line colour - left click on Red b. Fill colour - right click on Blue 11. Under the Create section select the Text icon. 12. Left Click inside the hoop area. 13. The Create Text window opens. In the font drop down box select the font of your choice. We chose Century Schoolbook. 14. Set the type as Bold and the size to 500 (changing the size makes it easier to work within the hoop). 15. Type your initial in the Text area (We typed the initial E). 16. Touch OK. 17. Right click to close the Text Tool function. When you close the function the letter is automatically selected. 18. Move your letter to the upper left corner of the hoop. Move it ½ grid in and down from the upper left corner of your hoop area. Hint: Use the grid measurements at the top and side of the hoop as a guide. If you have zoomed in to assist with the placement of your letter use zoom to fit to go back to viewing the hoop area. 19. Left click and drag on the lower right corner, and using the grid measurements, resize your letter to approximately 195 mm x 205 mm (7 5 /8 x 8 1 /8 ). This will give you a finished size of approximately 190 mm x 200mm (7 ½ x 8 ). 20. Touch the Center in Hoop icon. 21. Go to the Design Tab.
3 22. Under Command select the Colour Change icon. 23. Select Show All Thread Ranges. 24. In the drop down box select Robison Anton Metallic J Select 1003 Gold. 26. Touch OK to close the Colour Change window. 27. In the Fill Area section click on the Pattern Fill drop down box and select Motif Fill. 28. Under Line click on the drop down box and select Satin Line. 29. Select Options. 30. On the Motif 1 tab select: a. Group Husqvarna Viking b. Category D2 Heirloom c. Pattern #4 31. On the Spacing tab set the Vertical Gap to On the Options tab change the angle to 90.
4 33. On the Appliqué tab set it for Running Stitch Stop Double Stitch Stop Border. 34. Touch OK to close the Area window. 35. Select Quick Stitch Fill. 36. Left click inside your letter to create your Appliqué, complete with Motif Fill and Satin Line Border. 37. Right Click to drop the Quick Stitch Fill tool. 38. Save as AppliquéE. This will save your working.edo file. 39. Select Export Embroidery. It will open to where you save your.edo file with the same name you gave it. Select Export to save it as a.vp3 format or the format of your choice. CREATE EMBROIDERED FONT 1. Toggle to 6D Embroidery Extra. 2. From the Ribbon bar select the View Tab. 3. From the Ribbon bar select Change Hoop.
5 4. Hoop Group Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond Royale. 5. Hoop Size 260 x 200 Designer Crown Hoop. 6. Vertical Orientation. 7. Touch Ok to close the window. 8. Go to the Letter Tab. 9. Select the Drop Down arrow in the Font category to open the different Font Menu. 10. Scroll down to the Script menu. 11. Select Adina mm. 12. On the Ribbon Bar set the size to 55mm 13. In the Letters box type: Princess (or desired word). 14. Select Apply. 15. Go to the Home Tab. 16. Touch Rotate 45 two times to rotate the design Select Colour Sort. 18. File tab Export. Select OK to save as.vp3 format (or format of your choice). Name your design and click on Export. 19. Go to the File tab select New.
6 20. Go to the Letter Tab. 21. Delete the word Princess from the Letters Box. 22. In the Letters box type the name you wish to embroider. We used Emilie. 23. Select Apply. 24. Go to the Home Tab. 25. Select Modify Design. 26. Under Rotate type in Touch OK to close the Modify Design window and rotate your design 270º. 28. Select Colour Sort. 29. File tab Export. Select OK to save as.vp3 format (or format of your choice). Name your design and click on Export. 30. Copy your saved files to your USB Embroidery stick for embroidering your Quilted Banner on your HUSQVARNA VIKING DESIGNER DIAMOND Royale sewing and embroidery machine.
