8 Shrink to Fit - The Shrink to Fit feature helps you avoid printing projects with line breaks when text is too long for the text box or product panel. This option is turned on by default when DesignPro is installed. Colored borders indicate database fields are displayed with line breaks. If a paragraph contains at least one database field, that causes an automatic line break, Shrink to Fit reduces the entire contents of the text box, until a line break is no longer required. The layout that is printed or displayed in the Print Preview may differ from the design in some cases. This occurs because each text box is checked for line breaks and adjusted individually. Adjust the Shrink to Fit settings for the current project in the Print Database Options dialog box. Select Tools > Options > Print to change the default settings for Shrink Highlight Shrink to Fit in Print Preview Database fields whose contents have to be displayed with line breaks because of their length, are displayed with different colored borders in the Print Preview dialog box, depending on the context. Adjust the Shrink to Fit settings in the Print Database Options dialog box. The following variations apply: Border Blue Green Red Description Shrink to Fit is not turned on. The text in the database field is too long and line breaks are occurring. Adjust your design or turn the Shrink to Fit feature on. Shrink to Fit is turned on and successfully reduced the text to fit. No line breaks are occurring. Line breaks could not be suppressed because the minimum font size would have been exceeded. Adjust your design or reduce the Minimum Font Size for Shrink to Fit.
