2 World Rowing Championships The World Rowing Championships is an international Rowing Regatta owned by FISA (the International Rowing Federation). It is a week-long event held at the end of the northern hemisphere summer and in non-olympic years is the highlight of the international rowing calendar.

3 2017 Event Overview Dates: September 24-October 1, 2017 In the Forty-eights (48) years of the events existence the United States has only hosted one time back in 1994 at Indianapolis, IN. Twenty-three (23) years later Sarasota/ Bradenton will represent the United States as the host of the 2017 Event! 40,000 Visitors attending the event over the 7 day period 1,700 World Class Athletes 60+ Countries will be represented at the event

4 Economic Impact An Estimated $25 million dollar Economic Impact Estimated 40,000 Room Nights Blocks in over 25 hotels in Sarasota and Bradenton Counties Excursion packages to local attractions and downtowns
