1 Microsoft Dynamics C NAV2013R2 Small Business Role Center or C5 2014? I am in small confusion. In Microsoft Dynamics NAV2013R2, we have Small Business Role Center. What is this actually, Microsoft Dynamics NAV2013R2 or Microsoft Dynamics C5 2014? The last information says that this is the same product. Microsoft Dynamics C will share platform with Microsoft Dynamics NAV from 2013R3 version. Depends of NAV or C5 implementation, you can choose images to show correct brand in product, as you can see on my picture About : You can see that this is Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2, version W1 7.10, but with C5 logo. What is a different? I know that the difference is only in license. If you use standard NAV perpetual license, you have NAV and you can use simplify Small Business Role Center, but you can use rest of NAV features, as well. If you use C5 licensing, you can use only Small Business Role Center features, called Microsoft Dynamics C

2 Dynamics C license & price What is a price difference between Microsoft Dynamics NAV2013R2 and Microsoft Dynamics C5 2014? The difference is large. I think, all of you know price and NAV licensing model (if you don t know, ask me). C price is defined as subscription and this is per month. You can choose only one country Denmark, and I need to check can we busy this product in other countries. Informations are opposing. I will find out this asap and I ll inform you. You can choose three variants of licensing: Basic Pack: It is the prerequisite for all other items in licensing. It contains all SB role center objects and first user. You can use this as full application with one user with limited number of transaction (only <2500 transaction). If you have a very small company (e.g. small start-up with few invoices by year), this is ideal combination for you. Unlimited Transaction: If you have some bigger small company with more transaction, with this item, you can buy unlimited number of transactions (still have one user). Full User CAL: You can choose to buy one or two additional users. Yes, the maximum of users is three (one in basic pack and two additional). This is the maximum you can buy as Microsoft Dynamics C If you want more, you need to buy NAV license. You can choose six difference currencies, and the prices are by currencies and modules: BREP is included in the total solution cost. Dynamics C Trial License Microsoft Dynamics C trial license can be created via the License Key Configuration (LKC) area in VOICE. Microsoft Dynamics C Trial: Contains Basic Pack 2 Additional Users Denmark Country Code Time limited to 120 days Cannot be converted to a full version

3 Users will not be warned of impending trial expiration. The 120-day trial limit cannot be extended. The 120-day trial starts upon installation. If you need more than 120 Days for evaluation, you may create a new trial license in LKC or purchase a full Microsoft Dynamics C Subscription license through Order Central. Log into your Voice account to access License Key Configurator. Select Program Type and Product Type as Test/ Evaluation License and Microsoft Dynamics C Click Create New Configuration. When I try this, I cannot do it. I have problem with choosing Test/ Evaluation License Product Type. I have to check my role on Partner Source; I m not sure where a problem is. You will not need to create a new configuration every time a new license is required. The first time a license is needed, a new configuration needs to be set up, however for any follow up licenses required using the same Country Code you can use the same configuration. You need to enter required information and click Save to submit the request. The license keys will be available for you to download. 4 Future Technologies Dynamics C Licensing more When you look up in C documents, you can be confused. In localization disclaimer, you can find C5 availability for few countries, but when you look up in PartnerDeck Overview document, you can find availability in Denmark only. I hope that it means we have completed localization for Denmark only, but I expect availability for other countries with partner localizations. One more specific is that you can use only Subscription licensing model with Named users. You will pay by quarterly subscription term; priced per month billed per quarter. When I say quarterly, I mean partner billing in advance. Pricing is net, without any SPA discounts and license in the same time includes Enhancement benefits. System is available on-premises, in a partner hosting center hosted or in any cloud e.g. with Microsoft Azure. You can make online user deactivations 24x7 by partner only (customer cannot do it by himself). You can make deactivation only for additional users, but if you activated Unlimited Transaction, you cannot deactivate it later. On other hand, you can make online cancellations 24x7 from next billing period by partner only. License is active for remainder of subscription period and no refunds will be given for remaining days of subscription.

5 Dynamics C Module Structure As I already wrote, you can combine three core SKU structure in license, as picture below: If you want to see pricing, you can find it second chapter. Besides one included user, in Basic Pack you can also get one Audit User and one Administrative/Support User. The main things you can work in Microsoft Dynamics C are: Sales Invoicing o Create and send invoices to your customers as PDF or e-invoice o Give total invoice discount with correct VAT calculations o Invoice to different shipping address or currency Ready-to-use from day one o Setup data package for Denmark Control Expenses o Provide General journal o Use cash flow KPIs Business Insights o View payment status on invoices o View of key activities and business figures on your dashboard o Find customer statistics easily Look and Feel o Use tooltips for actions and fields o See only menus and features that are in the license Inventory & Purchase o Get help with inventory handling o Use purchase invoice (as simple as sales) o Make purchases from sales

6 As I already said, C actually is NAV 2013R2. If you want to see what NAV granules are included in C5, you can see in next table: Payroll module for Denmark (including 25 employee records) included in previous C5 version is discontinued. Payroll customers in Denmark will have opportunities with the Lessor Salary module. For other countries if we get C5 in other countries, partners will have a chance to prepare and use own payroll modules. Dynamics C Who are the customers? Who are the small business customers for whom is Microsoft Dynamics C intended? This is the business case: 1-5 users All industries and business segments

7 Price conscious Minimum funds for software deployment and maintenance Rely on external/part-time bookkeeping service providers If you have the same users: Non-IT-savvy generalists Care about sales and cash Don t really care about software What makes it fit the small business segment? We have simplified the user interface and the user experience so that Microsoft Dynamics NAV does not look and behave like bookkeeping software meant for middle-size companies. 8 Promoted focus is on sales, purchase, and cash flow. Dynamics C Purchasing Options You can few purchasing options, depends you are new or existing customer. You can see details in next table: Before you order license, you can try it as trial. You can use trial with no charge for a 120 days. Trial license can be configured only by partner in License Key Configurator tool. Conversation from trail to subscription license requires Partner to place an order for C via Order Central. All about license cost, you can find second chapter. Dynamics C Partners Partner Requirements For old C5 version (v2012), there is not change to exam requirements. For Microsoft Dynamics C Subscription, there are the requirements: Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Core Setup and Finance Certification Exam (#MB7-701), Subscription addendum to the SPA without it, partners will not be able to order. Partner Recognition Partners will receive 1 customer add per new C Customer. Partners will receive 8x on 1 st quarter of new C Subscription. Partners will receive 1x on each next (from 2 nd ) subscription quarter.

9 Example: When you purchase C Basic Pack, you will bill it as 23 per quarter to customer. For 1 st quarter, as partner you will get 1 Customer Add and 184 (23 x 8) as Revenue Recognized. 184 will update to C5 license revenue in VOICE. For all other quarters (if customers is still using only Basic Pack), the partners is billed 184 and the same value (184 ) will be added as Revenue Recognized (this time without a multiplier).
