2 License Types Station These licenses are applied per computer. With a station license, all players can run exercises until the expiration date has expired. Player These licenses are applied per player. With a player license, a player can run exercises until the expiration date has expired. Cloud Access These licenses are applied per player. With a cloud access license, a player can be moved to the cloud database. If the player is on the cloud, he/she can be imported to different computers. The license comes with a computer limit of five meaning that he/she can only be on a max of five computers at a time. The player can run exercises as long as the player is on the cloud. If the player has a cloud access license but is on the local or network database, he/she cannot run unless he/she has a player license. These licenses have an expiration date as well. Startup If you have not registered yet, you will be asked whether you wish to register by the internet or network. If you wish to register by the internet, you will need to enter your Customer ID and password. After you have entered this information, you will be able to view all of the available licenses in your account. You can then select which licenses you want to download for this computer. If you wish to register through the network, you will first need to enter your Customer ID and password. You will also have had to create a network database on another computer. The network database that you created will need to have valid licensing (available station licenses or player licenses) in order for you to connect to it. 3 Player Grid This grid shows all of the players. There are four types of information that the grid displays for each player: Screen Name, Player Exp. Date, Cloud Access Exp. Date, and Player Access. The Player Exp. Date represents the player license expiration date. If you have a station license activated, then you will see NA since the player is using the station license. The Cloud Access Exp. Date displays the expiration date of the cloud access license. "NA" means there is no cloud access license for that player. The Player Access determines what kind access you have to the player. Full access players are players that you have created. Limited access players are cloud players that have been imported from other customers. You will not be permitted to change a player s name or password, if they are a Limited access player. The Deactivate Player License button allows you to deactivate the player license for the selected player. The license will be transferred into the Available Player Licenses box. You can deactivate a player s license a maximum of two times and activate this license again to two other players until it has expired. Station License Status This box shows you whether or not a station license has been activated. If a station license has been activated, you can deactivate it and transfer it into the Available Station Licenses box. Note: if you have a station license activated, you will not be able to see any available player licenses because they will use the station license on this computer station. 4 Available Player Licenses You can activate these licenses for players so that you can run them. You can also upload them back to your account on the internet in case you want to move the license to another computer. There are three types of information presented about an available player license: Licenses, Subscription Time, and Must Be Activated By date. Licenses represents the number of player licenses available for activation. Subscription Time shows the period of time that you can license a player. It will either have a subscription length (Days, Months, Years, etc...) or an expiration date. The Must Be Activated By date shows you much time you have to activate and use your license before this license expires. Once you activate your license, you will be able to run your player for the subscription time. However, you must activate the license before it has expired or it will no longer be available. Available Cloud Access Licenses You can activate cloud licenses for players so that you can run them on any computer has access to the internet. You can also upload cloud licenses back to your account on the internet whenever you want to move them to another computer. There are three types of information about an available cloud access license that are displayed: Licenses, Subscription Time, and Must Be Activated By date. Licenses represents the number of licenses currently available for activation. Subscription Time shows the period of time that you can license a player. It will either have a subscription length (Days, Months, Years, etc...) or an expiration date. The Must Be Activated By date shows you how much time you have to activate and use your license before this license expires. Once you activate your license, you will be able to run your player for the subscription time. However, you must activate the license before it has expired or it will no longer be available. 5 Available Station Licenses You can activate these computer station licenses so that you can run an unlimited number of players. You can also upload station licenses back to your account on the internet whenever you want to move them to another computer. There are two types of information displayed about an available station license: Available Stations and Subscription Time. Available Stations represents the number of licenses currently available for activation. Subscription Time shows the period of time that you can license your computer. It will either have a subscription length (Days, Months, Years, etc...) or an expiration date. The following buttons describe the different options for downloading licenses and updating your customer information: View/Download Available Licenses You can view and download available licenses that have been purchased to your computer. You cannot download station and player licenses together. If you already have player licenses activated for players, you will be warned if you wish to download a station license. If you already have station license activated, you will not be able to download any player licenses. Once you have selected the desired licenses, click on the Download button. If you download a station license and do not have any licenses already downloaded or activated, that station license will automatically activate for your computer. 6 Register Using a Purchase ID If you decide to obtain more licenses for your use, you will be given a purchase ID and license key upon purchase. When you enter this information, the licenses will be applied to your account and the available license box will open (see above). You will then need to select the license you wish to activate to this computer. Register Using Website If you are having problems registering automatically using the internet, you can register using our website. Start by clicking on the button, Register Using Website., Next, you need to copy the registration code displayed. It should begin and end with the tags < BEGIN REGISTRATION CODE> and < END REGISTRATION CODE>. You can click on the Copy Registration Code button or copy it manually. Then you need to click on the button Go To Website To Get Activation Code. Your default web browser should then start, and the display to the left will appear, Next, enter your Customer ID and Password. Then paste the registration code in the large empty box by right clicking the box and select Paste. Enter the validation code displayed near the bottom of the web page and then click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page. Copyright BrainTrain, Inc. - All Rights Reserved 6 of 8

7 The next web page will display all of the licenses you have purchased that are now available for download. If you have a purchase ID and license key, you can enter them at the bottom of the page and then click on the Apply License Key button. Additional licenses purchased will then become available for selection. Select only the specific licenses you would like to download to this computer and click the Submit button. The next step requires that you select and highlight the entire activation code and right click and copy it. This code is needed in order to enable the available license(s) you selected. After you have copied the activation code, you will need to paste it in the bottom portion of the first form that is displayed when you click on the button Register Using Website. Then click on the Enable Activation Code button. A message will appear confirming that your licenses have been successfully downloaded. Copyright BrainTrain, Inc. - All Rights Reserved 7 of 8

8 Update Customer Information If you need to update your customer information at any time such as your password, , address or phone number, simply click on the Update Customer Information button. To update your information, fill in the personal information, including your password, new password (if you wish to change it), first and last name, address, phone number and address. Be sure to check the box at the bottom to receive updates regarding additional products, discounts and new releases.
