1 TRIO Wolf Creek Distance Learning Charter School Stakeholder Feedback Data Document TRIO Wolf Creek Distance Learning Charter School ensures that all AdvancED surveys were administered with fidelity using several measures listed below: As an online entity we distribute survey information via the same means with which we distributed the AdvancED surveys and find similar results across students groups and even years of giving the surveys. With having a campus option, staff members at Wolf Creek were able to view some of the students taking the AdvancED surveys to ensure fidelity. The number of survey responses generated is consistent with the fidelity measures outlined above. TRIO Wolf Creek distributed the AdvancED survey link to all students and parents in a variety of ways listed below: Using our homeroom course that all full time students are enrolled in we created a lesson that included the link to the AdvancED survey and information on the survey itself, this allowed for all full time students to have access to the survey link and know the importance of taking the survey for the review team and accreditation. Accommodations given were the access to computers in our computer lab for students to take the survey. No alternative forms for the survey were requested in terms of alternative language or format. For part time students we ed out the link several times and noted other reminders on our electronic newsletters to remind them to take the survey as well. For parents they were notified via and our weekly communications using an blast system called Campaign Monitor over a four week period. Learning Managers or teacher at TRIO Wolf Creek are the main form of communication between the students and the school, they were able to send various reminders to ensure that all students were given an opportunity to complete the survey. Questionnaire Administration: Level 4 Parent Response Rate of 29% was greater than 20%, Student Response Rate of 60% was greater than 40%, and Staff Response Rate of 85% was greater than 60%. 2. Stakeholder Feedback Results and Analysis: Level 4 Level 4: Two or more of the stakeholder questionnaires (Parent 4.57 and Staff 4.47) had average item values of 4.30 or higher (on a 5.0 scale). All questionnaires (Student 4.12) had an average item value of 3.20 or above (on a 5.0 scale). Results of stakeholder feedback collected by the institution were well analyzed and clearly presented. Comparison Data not available Due to this being our first administration of this AdvancED survey we do not have comparison data available. When we were last reviewed five years ago we went through the CITA review process and did not use this format for surveys for that process. We are excited to use this year s survey information as the base for comparisons in the future. ANNUAL SPRING PARENT AND STUDENT SURVEY Each spring for the past eleven years TRIO Wolf Creek has administered an online parent and student survey. Some questions have remained constant and others have changed due to the evolving nature of the charter school. Here we will share overall satisfaction rates from both the parent or stakeholder surveys from spring Satisfaction rates with TRIO Wolf Creek continue to be consistently high. 8 Hope Survey Results for 2013 Compared to 2012 Wolf Creek administers the Hope Survey each year. Since our population has a significant high risk population, we are very concerned about our students not only academically, but also in other areas. Below is a comparison reviewing the following factors: Engagement, Autonomy, Belongingness, Goal Orientation, and Academic Press. In most areas our scores improved from 2012 to We have set goals as shown below based on the results. Continued on next page

10 Course Completion Rates: The graph below of completion rates by Department compares the current year (Term 1 and 2) shown in blue to the previous year for Term 1 and 2 shown in red and for the entire year of the previous year shown in green.

11 MCA Test Results 5 Year Trend Our trend results for our Reading test have been increasing until last year. Note that the test changed from MCA II to MCA III so it is not comparing the same test. Wolf Creek showed a drop, but the state did as well. We are currently running a Content Area Literacy class focused on the MCA III content to help raise student s scores this year. Our Math results have stayed fairly flat, but we are working to increase these by enrolling students in MCA Prep courses, creating study guides to guide our students through our electronic coursework, and through help sessions on campus and online with students.
