4 Began in 1994 to increase partnership and connections between 3 public education providers in Long Beach In 2008, Seamless Ed Partnership enhanced to increase postsecondary options for students. Increase readiness and access so that students accomplish their postsecondary goals.

6 MISSION STATEMENT: We promise the opportunity of a college education to every student in the Long Beach Unified School District.
7 GOALS: 1. Provide world-class education from preschool to graduate school. 2. Increase the percentage of LBUSD students who are prepared for and attend college directly from high school. 3. Increase the percentage of LBCC students who earn degrees and/or certificates. 4. Increase the percentage of LBCC students who successfully transfer to CSULB or another four-year college/university. 5. Increase the percentage of CSULB students who graduate with a bachelor s and/or advanced degree.
8 1. Academic and Career Success Initiative multi-pronged effort to boost achievement across the District 2. Clear Benchmarks for gains 3. College Advising for every student and their families beginning in the 6 th grade - Nearly 16,000 middle school students and parents signed college pledges 4. Structured Campus Visits for every student to LBCC and CSULB 5. Postsecondary Bridge Program 6. Intensive Counseling and Cohort Support 7. Regular Communication of goals and progress to community
9 1. Free First Semester raised over $6.2 Million to provide tuition assistance for every local LBCC student in Welcomed over 150 LB Promise scholarship recipients to campus this this year 3. LBCC became first Community College to accept Early Assessment Program test results to streamline student assessment 4. Career Counselor Conference and Workshop increase collaboration between HS and LBCC Counselors 5. LBCC became top transfer community college to CSULB
10 CSULB promises opportunity to earn a bachelor s degree to: All LBUSD students who complete CSU minimum college preparatory requirements All LBCC students who successfully complete CSU minimum community college transfer requirements CSULB promises all LBUSD students assistance in: Applying for admission to CSULB Transitioning from high school or community college Meeting requirements for a bachelor s degree Learning about and applying for college financial aid Preparing for careers and graduate school
