2 WHAT IS MACH? MACH IS THE ESTABLISHED SHOWCASE FOR THE UK MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY, DESIGNED TO PROMOTE ITS INTERESTS ON A WORLD-CLASS STAGE MACH is the UK s only premier manufacturing technologies event. In 2008 the show attracted over 27,000 visitors keen to see what s new in industry and indeed, to purchase such technology. Estimates suggest that well over 150million of sales were made as a direct result of the show. Even in 2008, with an economic cloud on the horizon, MACH successfully bucked the trend with a 22% increase in visitor numbers over the immensely successful MACH We re currently striving to make MACH 2010 even better than previous shows which is why, as an exhibitor, now is the time to look to the future and make a sound investment in your space at MACH MACH is a showcase for all machines and equipment used in engineering based manufacturing. The show is split into the following zones: - Metalcutting - Metalforming - Automation and robotics - CAD/CAM - Engineering Lasers - Measurement and Inspection - Tooling and Workholding - Welding and Metal Fabrication - Rapid Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping - NEW FOR 2010 User Partner Zone

3 We were extremely pleased with the results from MACH there will be no difficulty in justifying our substantial 5-stand presence at the show. All our companies performed well and have results which have surpassed the previous show, which we had in itself found fruitful. What impressed us most was the quality as well as the quantity of visitors we had on the stands, and that most of those visitors were actively shopping for machines and equipment they needed to purchase in the immediate future. We found it a very buoyant show, with visitors confident in the future of their manufacturing operations in the UK. 6 VISITORS TO MACH ARE HIGH QUALITY DECISION MAKERS All of our MACH exhibitors are serious about selling their products and that s why they return MACH after MACH. Every MACH show attracts large numbers of high quality decision makers from a range of companies looking to place orders both large and small. 8 MAXIMUM EXPOSURE AS THE UK'S PREMIER SHOWCASE OF NEW MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES MACH ATTRACTS A GREAT DEAL OF MEDIA ATTENTION, ESPECIALLY FROM THE MAJOR TRADE PRESS FOR ENGINEERING BASED MANUFACTURING, AS WELL AS NATIONAL PRESS AND TV COVERAGE MACH 2008 achieved significant coverage in over 30 trade magazines, many of whom carried extensive show previews on their pages. In addition to articles, the MTA places a great deal of effort into promoting the show through advertising, direct mail and campaigns to ensure it attracts the highest number of quality visitors. The promotional campaign includes: - Extensive media coverage and advertising in trade press - Regular s and direct mail to pre-registered and potential visitors - Promotion via the MACH 2010 and MTA websites - Text messaging - Promotion at other shows across the UK - Telemarketing In addition, MACH 2010 is co-located with Subcon and Drives and Controls to further maximise visitor numbers.

9 In 2007 we set a record in the UK of 100 Citizen machines installed. After such a bumper year, 2008 started cautiously as some customers waited to way up the technology options at the show. Then the initial continuous stream of visitors to the stand almost ended up as a flood that has reflected in an order book bonanza worth more than 2million as the week Geoff Bryant progressed.
