4 Visiting Hours General visiting hours are from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Visiting hours in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and after 8:30 p.m. Parking Porter Adventist Hospital provides complimentary valet parking at the main hospital entrance, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free parking is also available in a covered parking structure next to the main hospital entrance. 5 Hospital Amenities Porter Adventist Hospital offers visitors several amenities to make their hospital stay or visit more comfortable. 6 Apothecare Pharmacy Porter Adventist Hospital is home to a convenient, community pharmacy that can fill prescriptions, order hard-to-find specialty medications and provide a wide range of immunizations. For hospital patients, Apothecare Pharmacy offers discharge prescription services that allow patients to fill their at-home medication needs before they leave the hospital and can easily transfer refills to a patient s home pharmacy. Apothecare Pharmacy also offers a specialty travel clinic service that offers immunizations and travel education to help people avoid infectious disease like malaria, yellow-fever and other travel-related health problems. Apothecare Pharmacy is located on the ground level of the Porter Medical Plaza. For more information, call Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Porter Adventist Hospital features a 25,000-square-foot intensive care unit that houses 36 private patient rooms specifically designed for critical and complex medical care. To assist those visiting or trying to contact friends and loved in the ICU, Porter Adventist Hospital offers patient representative services to help answer questions about the hospital and the critical care area. 7 Surgery Welcome Center For patients undergoing certain procedures, Porter Adventist Hospital offers comprehensive pre-surgical services and evaluations through our Surgery Welcome Center. In an effort to provide consistent, evidence-based care that leads to better patient outcomes, the Surgery Welcome Center offers a convenient and streamlined option for complete physicals, pre-surgical evaluations and post-operative medical care. Community Classes Porter Adventist Hospital regularly hosts a robust schedule of community classes, educational seminars and wellness expos to nurture the health and wellbeing of those in our community.
