8 Master Network BIG PICTURE RIS Now Has A Good All Streets Existing- Year ArcGIS Layer For 16 Counties We Have Turned This Into A Topologically Correct Link/Node TransCAD Network (Currently 522,000 Links; 61,650 Are One-Way) New Links Must Now Be Added To Represent ALL Existing And Projected Spatial Entities Of Sharable Interest To The Transportation Department

9 More Of The BIG PICTURE Year-Specific Travel Model Base Year Networks For Applications Studies Will Be Selected Link Extractions From The TransCAD Multi-Year Master Network The TransCAD Multi-Year Network Will Be Exported To An ArcGIS Layer For Web- Based Presentations And Integration With Other Departmental ArcGIS Layers

10 Critical Concepts: The TransCAD Multi-Year Master Network Includes ALL Travel Model Data Needed For Representation Of Lamers- Approved Base Year Roadway/Transit Networks All Special- Purpose GIS Layers Of Sharable Interest (TIP/AQ Link/Point Layers, Freight Rail Layers, Traffic Count Locations, Accident Locations, etc.) MUST Have A PERFECT Spatial Coordination With Links In The Master Layer
