3 One BIT Concentration, two flavors MIB s EMA-BIT is a degree program with a major in General Management and a specialized concentration in Biomedical & Innovation Technology and ICT Management (BIT). Inside the BIT Concentration participants can choose among two focuses: 1. Biomedical Technology Management with courses as: Medical Technology Strategic ICT Management 2. Innovation and Technology Management picking 5 among the following courses: Open Innovation Strategy Social Media Strategies Strategic Consulting Entrepreneurship and Small Business Startup New Product Development Business Model Generation Intellectual Property Rights Technology Transfer Enterprise Risk Management Financial Valuations 2020 Structural Funds Management

5 EMA-BIT Facts 1 MASTER 2.5 Years 7 MBA Courses 17 long weekends 30 months of study & work 150+ hours of Final Project 350+ hours of in class learning activity 500+ hours of self study For a total of hours of learning experience

6 The 7 MBA Courses (mandatory) EMA-BIT core is made of 7 Mandatory Courses, the same programs and professors of MIB School of Management s Executive MBA ( but taught in English. The main difference will be that in the EMBA-BIT the courses will not be held 100% in class, but we will use a blended learning approach, i.e. 2/3 in class and 1/3 in distance learning. In this way instead of having 3 weekend (Fri-Sat) per course of in class lectures like the Executive MBA in Italian, we will have the following structure: Opening in class weekend Online learning phase of two months (Assignments + tutoring + Virtual Class one Friday every two) One closing in class weekend Study and Final test

7 Other learning activities On top of the 7 MBA Courses that provide 46 ECTS credits, there will be a total of 10 ECTS credits acquired by choosing among two BIT concentrations (or other learning activities such as learning trips or other electives). BIT Courses are all held in presence, not online. The program ends with the development of a final project (4 ECTS credits) on a theme chosen with the School and supported by a supervisor.

8 Between the lectures The main pedagogical challenge of the program will be keeping the participants oriented towards learning and committed to the MBA objective The periods between lectures will be devoted to: Developing assigned tasks (activities) Meeting team mates online if and when needed Meeting the professors in web live once a week (Tue or Wed at 6.00 pm) Attending to online lectures once every fortnight (Thu or Fri at 16.30) BIT concentration courses and coaching sessions will also be interspersed between lectures

9 HRM and Leadership Development Course The HRLD course spreads throughout the whole program and has 6 weekends of classwork It has a double function: Integrate the program guiding participants towards their personal growth goals exploiting the learning in the EMA Monitoring the development of the program and rapidly introducing the fine tuning actions in case they are needed

10 Human Capital Faculty EMA-BIT faculty is made only of senior MIB Professors with at least 10 years of teaching experience Participants 15+ EMA-BIT Candidates coming from technology and innovation based organisations All must be open to confrontation and ready to share their experience MBA candidates must have a minimum 4 years of managerial experience To enroll they have to pass the selection process showing determination towards obtaining a Specialized Executive Master programme
