1 Investment Mastery Stock Market Workshop OPENING UP YOUR ON-LINE TRADING ACCOUNT You will need to open this account before you attend the workshop it will take you between 30 and 40 minutes maximum to complete. Please be aware that OptionsXpress will occasionally change its layout and some of the questions, so just follow this guide as best you can. There is a help phone number on screen and a Live Help chat facility. Please use it if you need to they are very helpful, and will spend as much time as you need with them. Before you start, you will be asked for your personal information, and will need: Your passport Your proof of residency a utility bill or bank statement You will also need an envelope and stamps for The Netherlands You must: 1. Fill in the form on-line 2. Print out the information, and sign and send it off to OptionsXpress 3. Go back in and log on afterwards to check your account is set up properly (important). 3 GETTING STARTED Enter your address twice; create a username, password and secret question (make a note of these separately). Save and continue. 3

4 ACCOUNT HOLDER INFO You will need to put your passport number in on this page note that your date of birth is MM DD YYYY (so month first, then day, then full year). 4

6 EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION If you are Employed, or Self Employed you will need to complete the step shown on page 7. If you are Retired, or a Student the screen will not change, and you will be asked to complete a screen that looks the one below. You should usually answer No to the questions below. 6

7 EMPLOYED STATUS If you are employed your screen will change to below (2 screen prints show your options here). If you are Self Employed for ease of application, put Employed and your company or sole trader name as the company you are working for, and complete the rest of the form. 7

8 INVESTMENT BACKGROUND Investment Objectives tick all four Speculation, Aggressive Growth, Growth, Income. Trading Strategies to be Utilised tick on Buy Stock, Long Puts/Calls, Covered Calls, Short Sell Stock. You will also need to put the following down as a minimum Years of Trading Experience Annual Stock Trades Years of Trading Experience Annual Option Trades 3, or more if you have more. 24, or more if you have more. 1, or more if you have more. 13, or more if you have more. Save and Continue. 8

14 YOU VE ALMOST FINISHED ONLY 3 MORE STEPS TO TAKE Three more things before you begin trading you will need to post your original signed account overview and other supporting documents A copy of your passport. A copy of a utility bill or bank statement (that shows your address). Send the forms to the address below in the Netherlands. DO NOT send any money at this stage don t forget all you re doing at the moment is setting up a virtual trading account. 15 W-8BEN CERTIFICATE This will bring up an Electronic W-8BEN Certificate click in Individual. 15

16 On 9 a tick in the box to confirm you are the beneficial owner and a resident of United Kingdom. 16

17 Click in the box to type your name. Capacity in which you are acting select SELF. Tick in I Agree and enter your account password. Submit. 17

18 Once you have Continue to Account the following page will appear. DO NOT tick in the box just click CONTINUE, and then click OK. 18

19 Click in I Agree where requested 19

20 Fill in your first name, surname and today s date exactly as specified in your on-line version (they will show you what you need to put in copy it exactly ensuring that the date is in an American format, i.e. month, then day, then year) and I Agree and Continue. 20
