2 Introduction Welcome to the 2016 Distributor Training and Development Guide. Using this resource will allow you to take ownership of your professional development, and along with your manager, develop a meaningful and impactful development plan. When we talked to our channel partners there were too many of them that weren t aware that this guide existed or were unsure of how to use it. For instance, did you know that there are training plans to guide you no matter what your experience level? We ve made it simple: 1. Select the market segment(s) you support: Residential, Light Commercial/Construction, Industrial Control/OEM or Industrial Facilities/Assemblies. 2. Select a training Phase based on your experience level from new hire to someone in their segments for 5 or more years. For example, if you have been working in Residential sales for 2.5 years, you would start by exploring the classes on page 8 of this directory. 3. Review the plan and make adjustments as needed. 4. Register for training through Eaton University and take the time to make an investment for you that will help you and your branch achieve their goals.
