1 VANCOUVER FILM SCHOOL (VFS) MERIT & EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICANT S NAME: The Vancouver Film School (VFS) Merit & Excellence Scholarship are designed to recognize and encourage exceptional Sisler High School graduates who have the potential for academic excellence in Media Arts. An Excellence Scholarship of $3,000 will be given to two graduating students entering any of the Sisler High School affiliated programs of Vancouver Film School. Vancouver Film School will provide entrance merit scholarships to graduating students of Sisler High School based on final grades in the Media Arts. These scholarships can range from $100 to $3,500 and are applied directly to the VFS tuition for successful students within the academic year period. VFS has discretion to modify scholarship values at any time. Merit scholarships are outlined in Appendix A. The Vancouver Film School (VFS) scholarships will be offered to students who: 1. complete all sections of this scholarship application; 2. are a Manitoba resident; 3. are graduating from Sisler High School; 4. have a minimum average of 80% on high school digital media arts and arts courses considered for admission to the VFS program pathway; 5. have been officially accepted into studies in one of the following Vancouver Film School programs: 3D Animation & Visual Effects Animation & Concept Art Classical Animation Acting Essentials Acting for Film & Television Digital Design Film Production Game Design Programming for Games, Web & Mobile Sound Design for Visual Media The Vancouver Film School (VFS) Merit & Excellence Scholarships are applicable within 18 months upon graduation. Scholarship application forms are available through the Sisler High School's Guidance Office and ORIGINAL APPLICATION MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE BY: May 1 *In years where May 1 falls on a weekend, applications will be due the first business day of May. NOTE: The Merit Scholarships and the Excellence in Media Scholarships are cumulative awards offered by VFS a recipient of

2 both the awards shall receive the additive/cumulative benefits of the scholarship amounts awarded.
