1 QUALIFICATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS The Erie Branch of the American Association of University Women will award up to two $2,000 scholarships this year to qualified applicants. Applications must be received by MARCH 14, 2016 and recipient(s) will be notified by April 11, Funds will be awarded at our annual dinner in May. Requirements: The scholarships are for Erie County women who are full or part-time non-traditional students enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program accredited by the Middle Atlantic States Association. An applicant must: be an Erie County resident age 24 or over be working toward her first undergraduate degree have completed at least twenty-four credit hours have a QPA of at least 3.0 have not previously received an AAUW adult student scholarship award Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria: academic achievement financial need biographical essay Due Date: The following must be submitted online by March 14, 2016 or by standard mail and must be postmarked no later than March 14, Completed application form 2. A biographical essay between 250 to 500 words 3. A computer printout of grade transcript 4. (If you are selected to receive an AAUW scholarship, you will be asked to provide an official transcript no later than April 30, 2016). IV. FINANCIAL AID OFFICER S STATEMENT The attached form is to be completed and returned (either electronically or hard copy) by the Financial Aid Officer of the applicant s school. It must be submitted online or postmarked by March 14, V.
