The over 56 million abortions since the 1973 decisions of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton reflect with heartbreaking magnitude what Pope Francis means by a throwaway culture. As individuals, we are called to observe this day through the penitential practices of prayer, fasting and/or giving alms. Another way to take part is through participating in special events to observe the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Divorced Catholic Offerings Information Session Monday, January 25th, at 7 pm in the Faith Formation Center to talk about how one can experience God s mercy through one of life s most devastating events, a divorce. Vince and Monica Frese will share firsthand stories of how they experienced God s abundant mercy through their individual lives as they navigated their lives as divorced Catholics. 13 Week divorce support group Recovering from Divorce. Some of the topics covered include: grieving, fear, anger, dealing with your former spouse, living your faith after divorce, and being single again. This program is for Catholics who are going through a divorce, or who are struggling with the pain of divorce. Sessions are held Mondays from 7-9pm starting February 1st. This person, reporting to the Director of Liturgy, will plan, develop, communicate, and implement the music for liturgical worship according to the norms and rites of the church throughout the calendar year. Responsibilities include overseeing all Mass celebrations, managing paid and volunteer staff, budget adherence, and other managerial/leadership tasks. These include raising awareness of the music ministry needs and developing talent to support those needs. Requirements include: expertise in piano, prior management experience, knowledge of music theory, singing expertise, experience in leading and directing vocals/instrumentalists, and an active member of the Catholic Church.
