1 TECHNICAL EDUCATION & VOCATIONAL TRAINING AUTHORITY Tender Notice Sealed tenders are required for the purchase of following Machinery and Consumable material for manufacturing of Brass and Copper Handicrafts at service centre, GCT GC & PD, Shahdara from GST & Income Tax Paying/ Registered firms; The detailed list of items alongwith technical specifications is available in tender inquiry document which may be obtained at the cost of Rs. 500/- (for each category) from the Lahore office of undersigned during office working hours. Bids will be received upto 12:00 Noon on May 24, 2012 and will be opened on the same day at 01:00 PM. Separate sealed bid forms of each category should be attached with 2 % call deposit of the bid money in favour of Project Manager, Govt. College of Technology for Glass, Ceramics and Pottery Development (TEVTA), Shahdara. The envelope of sealed bid will be marked with the each tender code on the right corner. The purchase committee has right to accept or reject any one or all the bids to accept or reject any one or all the bids without assigning reasons and also may increase or decrease the quantity of each item at any time. 8 TENDER NOTICE (B&C 01, B&C 02) Terms and Conditions Project Manager Service Centre at GCT GC & PD, Shahdara invites sealed tenders for the procurement of items described in attached list from the Income Tax & Sales Tax Registered reputable firms at following terms and conditions: - A party may apply for any number of tender out of these three tenders. Tender documents for each category with terms & conditions will be available from this office at the cost of Rs.500/- (non-refundable). The bidder should be holders of Sale Tax Registration No. and N.T.N. Both certificates must be attached with the tender documents. The bidder must provide photocopy of CNIC and contact number of the incharge or authorized representative of the organization. Taxes will be deducted as per Government rules. 2% call deposit (Refundable) in the name of Project Manager, Govt. College of Technology for Glass, Ceramics and Pottery Development (TEVTA), Shahdara of the total tender amount should be enclosed; otherwise the tender will not be accepted / considered for bidding. It will be in the form of Call Deposit Receipt issued by any scheduled bank. 2 % call deposit of the unsuccessful bidders will be retuned on written request. The rates will be valid upto 90 days from opening date of bid. The rates should be quoted by including all taxes, cost of loading, unloading and transportation charges at site. Safe delivery to the site will be responsibility of the bidder. For local manufactured items, any one of drawings or photos must be provided with the tender documents. But drawings must be provided with the final delivery. For all other items, broachers or other supporting documents must be provided where applicable. Page 8 of 10

9 The successful bidder for the Tender B&C/ 01 will provide performance security/ retention Rs.10% of the total value of supplied items, and retained for 08-months. The bidder will be bound for supplying the items as per order / specification within the stipulated time agreed mutually by the parties, in case the call deposit amount will be forfeited. In case, the offer is withdrawn, amended or revised, earnest money will be forfeited. Invoice bearing the amount of sale tax should be submitted in local currency i.e Pak Rupee. The competent officer / authority can reject any item, tender, or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof. The payment of bill will be made after the inspection of purchase committee and items found as per specification. No conditional tender will be entertained. The tenders from the parties which are black listed/suspended will not be entertained. Avoid any cutting/erasing/crossing/overwriting in the tender document. The tenderer shall submit the original tender document and all pages duly signed and stamped complete in all respect and keep a copy of the signed tender for his own record. Any dispute that may arise shall be settled in accordance with rules and regulations of the Government of Punjab. Further PPRA rules shall be applicable and observed in letter and spirit. Sealed Tender should reach this office till 24th May 2012 before 12:00 Noon (for all categories) and the tender will be opened on the same day at 01:00 PM (for all categories) in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives.
