1 North Texas Boston Terrier Club & Rescue: Boston Terrier News Club News: Come to Our Fall Fundraiser Picnic you can purchase to support rescue efforts will be available. Please plan ahead for birthdays, Christmas, & any other gift giving occasion & give a gift that will help a Boston in need. Register to Win Make plans to support Boston Terrier Rescue by attending our Fall Picnic on October 21st from 1 pm to 4 pm, at Trinity View Park in Irving. We have reserved the park for this event, so only Boston s and their family & friends will be present. Find a map on the Website at: For a mere $10.00 donation you can feast on Brisket and/or Chicken. We are asking that everyone planning on eating bring a side dish or dessert as well, so there should be plenty of food for all. If you don t want to eat, don t let that stop you from attending. Come anyway and enjoy the fun. As usual, the highlight of the picnic will be the Costume parade & contest, but we also play Halloween games, have a raffle (see the huge Boston Terrier in Princess Costume stuffed animal), and will introduce our club officers. A great collection of Boston items that We need your help to make this picnic a success, so please mark your calendar & plan to attend. It is a great opportunity to meet people who love their Boston s as much as you. The funds raised will be used to help all those dogs out there in the North Texas area who are still awaiting rescue & a good home. 2 Dogs Currently Available For Adoption Bitsy is a seven to eight yr old spayed female that is current on shots & heartworm preventative. She came from a puppymill situation & is just the sweetest girl. She has some hair loss due to flea allergy but it is coming back in now that she doesn't have any fleas. She should probably stay on Natural Balance Potato & Duck dog food just to be sure she doesn't have any food or chemical allergies. Boscoe & Pepper Bosco is 8 months old & Pepper is a 10 month old male. Both are neutered & current on shots & heartworm preventative. They have been together all their lives. They can be adopted together or they can be adopted separately. Both are great little guys! Maggie is about ten yrs old. She is spayed & is current on shots & HW preventative.. She is a very sweet girl that loves to give & get love. Chuck is a playful 5 month old boy who is looking for his forever home. His good nature will meld and bond with any family. He is almost housebroken & will be neutered in the next couple of weeks. He will be ready to adopt beginning of October. This newsletter is dedicated to those we lost.. PRECIOUS It is with great sadness that we had to put Precious to sleep. As it turns out she had a bone problem that caused her to keep breaking her bones. She had broken three in the last three weeks of her life & we just didn't want her to suffer anymore. As she was getting bigger it put more weight on her legs & she just wasn't able to stand up without breaking bones. She was a very special girl, very sweet & never caused a problem. We will miss her very much. SNORTY Snotry came to us in late summer He was the sweetset, cuddliest, craziest wild man that we just couldn't love more. He developed Cardiac Hypertention most likely caused from the heartworms he was treated for before we got him. We loved him with all our hearts & not a day will go by that we won't miss him. Rodney & Lisa Jones TUBBS My best friend Tubbs adopted me after my divorce. He came into my lfe, and greeted me everyday with kindness and love. I had always heard that rescue dogs knew that you were the one that rescued them, and that they would never leave your side. That was truly the case with Tubbs, he followed me around everywhere until the very end. Thank you for giving me such a great and loyal friend-- He will be dearly missed-- Kevin Page 2

She is spayed & is current on shots & HW preventative. She could stand to loose a pound but she isn't fat. She has a couple of tumors that the vet said we should leave alone. He feels they are benign & doesn't want to put her under for something that really doesn't need to be done. She is a very sweet girl that loves to give & get love. Foster Homes Needed! You Can Help!
