You told me the new trainee care worker would be here to help with lunch, remember? Yes, well, I can t help you, I ve got a bedroom to set up. Tracy Beaker is coming back today. Who s Tracy Beaker? You call setting fire to my whole kitchen, a favour?! Well, it really needed redecorating. I ve just fast-forwarded things a little. How can you be so thoughtless! 2 And sending for the fire service was completely unnecessary. I could have handled it! So, will I have my own bedroom at your Mum s, or will I have to share with you? What? Well, we can t stay in this mess, can we? Look, I can t take you to my Mum s. She s no good with kids. So where are we going? A hotel? We won t have to lift a finger! I think he s beautiful. I think he ll be a pushover. I ve got a get the new care worker plan already! You ll find they re lively kids. Bit wild, eh? Certainly not. 4 Dolly isn t allowed chewing gum, so we don t use it in front of her. Oh. Okay. Come on then! I thought you were in a hurry to get rid of me! I don t want rid of you. I ve just run out of options. It had to be you two, those girls aren t stupid enough to march all the way down, to leave a bucket where I could get wet. If I get my hands on you if I get my hands on you. Weak dudes. That s all we need! Tracy Beaker is exactly what we need! You re the most useless foster mum in the world! I hate you! This is mine! I love this - and you stole it? I didn t steal it! I can t take any more dishonesty. You re the dishonest one! You re the one who pretended you were going to stick by me and look after me! And I stuck by you! In case your half-dozen brain cells are rubbing together and giving you all a headache wondering why I came back... It s because I wanted to! Wow. BOUNCER: Ace. She s right, I m a terrible foster mother. I should just get out of her life! I ve got no idea how to look after a child - You know, I even forgot to send her to school one Monday! Bet she found that hard to forgive. What shall I do with this? If I was any good at fostering her she wouldn t steal from me or lie to me or... Maybe she didn t think she was stealing it. What? Maybe she wanted to bring something special to remember you by. 6

7 Oh, See? I couldn t even figure that out. What made me think I could even pretend to be anybody s mum! JUSTINE: Tracy? You okay? Just ask her! We ve got a new trainee care worker. We need you to think of a good wind-up for him. Don t help them Tracy Beaker! He s my favourite care worker! BOUNCER: You haven t even met him properly, you...child! So that s the great Tracy Beaker. What a let-down. BOUNCER:Yeah! Hey, and the same to you, small person. Can I have my chocolate biscuit now? Chocolate biscuit? I always have my special chocolate biscuit. Hey, everyone s out to wind up the new guy eh?. Off you go, little fibber. I never tell lies. Scoot! Oh good, you ve given Dolly her special biscuit. 7

8 Tracy, Tracy, you have to help me get the new guy. He s horrible and I hate him! I don t have to anything. Close the door behind you. Louise must have got it wrong. Got what wrong? She said you were the best ever at getting people, but she must have meant Justine. Justine? No contest. She is quite bad. Listen, you re new here. You obviously don t understand yet that no-one is as bad as Beaker. Do you know where Jenny keeps the photo albums? Then this is what I want you to do. It slipped out of my hands. That was Duke s favourite mug. Terrific So, is there anyone left in the Dumping Ground you haven t got on the wrong side of? You? True. But we haven t properly met. 8

9 Nathan. Pleased to meet you Tracy. Feel free to hate me as soon as you like. Or, I could help you. How? You just got off to a bad start. You can s oon turn things around, tonight at supper. I m supposed to be off by then. Pity. Surprising everyone at Saturday silly hour would have made you a lot more popular. Silly hour? The staff always do silly things at Saturday supper for the kids. It s a laugh. Makes everyone feel like one big happy family. What sort of silly things? Hi, Dolly? Hi. Listen Dolly, about the biscuit. I m over it. Is Tracy Beaker winding me up? Is there really a silly hour? You mean Saturday silly hour? Yes, there is. Honest? 9

10 Look, I said, I don t tell lies. Jenny won Saturday silly hour that week. And that was when Duke won. You could win easy. I don t know if Cam s quite up to seeing that again. It s for Tracy. What you said about her needing something to remember Cam by... You can go home when you ve finished it. Will you give it to Tracy for me? It ll be dry in about half a hour. Sure. Oh, and Nathan. Yes? Nice work. Just a bit of glue, steady hand. That s not what I meant. Careful, hot dish.. Keep supper for a couple of minutes. I know. Tracy Beaker, back at the Dumping Ground. Gloat, gloat.
