17 Creating an account in Banner 1. Go to the general Person Identification Form, SPAIDEN, using Direct Access and the Enter key 17
18 2. If you need to search for the person, click the down arrow next to the ID: number box. 18
19 3. Select the Alternate ID Search option (social security number may be hidden limited access) or the Person Search option (no social security number). 4. Enter the social security number of the person in the first field. If the social security number is not available, you can enter the last name in the Last Name field. 19
20 5. Click the execute query icon (middle drum). You will receive an error in the Automatic Hint line at the bottom of the screen Query caused no records to be retrieved. 20
21 6. Click the Exit icon ( X on the far right) twice. Click the first time to cancel the query; the second time to exit the screen. This will take you back to SPAIDEN. 7. Click the Generate ID icon (person), this will cause the word GENERATE to appear in the ID field 21
22 8. Click the Next Block icon (9 th icon from the left, three squares with a down arrow). This will bring the cursor to the Last Name field. Enter the person s last name. Tab to the First Name field and enter the person s first name. Click the Save icon (far left, computer disc.) 22

24 9. Click the Address tab (3 rd from left.) 10. Enter the effective date. Enter the address type, street address, zip code and telephone number and click the save icon. 11. Click the Exit icon. 24

29 Loading a charge to an account in Banner 1. Go to the Student Account Detail Form, TSADETL, using Direct Access and the Enter key 29
30 2. This will bring you to the Student Account Detail Form, TSADETL. Enter the student s Bronco ID (account number) and click the Next Block icon. 30
31 3. Enter the detail code in the Detail code box. 4. Enter the amount in the Amount box. 5. Enter the term code in the Term box. 6. Change invoice date in the Transaction box if necessary. 7. Enter the invoice number in the Document Number box. 31

Enter 0 in the Session Number field (For sessions from previous days, enter the appropriate session number. You can search for session numbers by clicking the magnifying glass icon.) 6. Click Save 7. Perform a Next Block Function twice (This will display all transactions for the cashier session summarized by detail code) 8. Perform another Next Block Function (This will display all transactions for the cashier session.) 47
