1 Personal Online Banking Guide Online Banking Overview Online Banking provides a safe, fast and easy way to manage your finances on your terms. You can take care of all your banking needs from home, work or anywhere you have Internet access. Look at All You Can Do: See detailed views of your account activity, including individual transaction histories and pending transaction postings. Transfer funds any time of the day or night. Schedule payments up to a year in advance of the due date. Set up recurring payments to be made automatically at the frequency you specify. Transfer funds online between your bank accounts and conduct external transfers between your other deposit accounts. Manage your money easily by exporting your account information to Quicken or QuickBooks. Set up notifications to be sent to your address about account balances, when specific checks clear and when deposits are processed. Stay organized with Online Statements. Access balance information, transfer funds, pay your bills, deposit checks and find a branch/atm nearby, all with Mobile Banking. 1

3 Personal Online Banking Guide Security The security of your personal and account information is our priority. We help to protect your identity by the use of multiple protection measures that work together to create a safe and reliable environment. Let s take a quick look at the security measures at each stop along the way. Security at Your Computer Good protection starts at home, in the office, or wherever you access your accounts online. Security at your computer includes making sure no one uses or has access to the computer without your permission. Passwords should not be selected from obvious clues like the names of your children or pets. OnGuard Security In addition to your personal password security, we provide additional security measures with OnGuard Security. OnGuard Security strengthens the safeguards in place at login by adding steps to verify your identity. Part of this identification process includes recognizing the computer you normally use to access Online Banking. This information, along with your normal login details, is incorporated into your online identity profile. When you log in, you ll enter your Logon ID and Password. If you are using a computer that has been enrolled in OnGuard Security, then that s it! No other steps are needed. If you choose to log in from a computer you don t normally use, you will be prompted to answer an additional security question to authenticate access. Security We employ security tools to help protect your data on all of our computers, including those used for Online Banking. Once your information reaches us via the Internet, it passes through yet another layer of security called a firewall which acts as a safeguard for Internet traffic. Securing Data as it Travels Across The Net Our Personal Online Banking system is a secure way to handle your financial transactions. To start, your Web browser is required to have 128-bit encryption capability. This feature will help to prevent anyone from eavesdropping on your data as it travels between you and the bank. When you log in to Online Banking, we check to ensure your browser software (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera ) can communicate using a 128-bit encryption key. Because the encryption key sequence is so large, it is practically impossible to guess and protects your personal information as it travels across the Internet. You don t have to do a thing, except to make sure you have a Web browser that can participate in this process. Enhanced Level of Internet Security with Rapport The bank offers an additional layer of security to protect you against fraud and identity theft when you visit our site, shop online or just surf the web. This enhanced level of security locks down your browser before malicious software can access your personal information. Available through Trusteer s Rapport plug-in, it is easy to install and free. 4 Getting Started and Logging In Logging in to Online Banking is simple and easy to do. Just launch your web browser and go to hancockwhitneybank.com. 1. Choose Personal Online Banking from the drop-down box. 2. Enter your Online ID 3. Enter your Password 4. Click the Log In button. Hint: Online access will be disabled after 180 days of inactivity. Contact us to re-enable your account. 4

5 Account Summary Account Summary is the first page you see once you log in to Online Banking. From here, you can view a quick synopsis of each of your accounts, loans or lines of credit. Hint: Whenever you need help, just click Help from the main menu to access a list of online topics. 5

6 Account Details Access account details by clicking the account name on the Account Summary page or clicking the Account Details tab. View account details and export your account information to your computer. Loan history is available for your loan accounts; just select the date range you d like to view.» Mouse-over Account Information from the main menu, then select Account Details from the drop-down. 1. Select an account to view from the drop-down menu, then click Go. 2. To view transactions during a specific timeframe, enter date range or select from the convenient calendar feature. Select the type of transactions to include and the amount (optional), then click Search. To search by check number range, enter the start and end check numbers, then click Search. 3. To download the information, select the format, then click Download. 6

7 Set Up Notifications / Alerts If you need help tracking your account balances, the Notifications tool will help you with managing your financial goals. Have an sent to you every time your account reaches a specified limit. This feature can also alert you about cleared checks and direct deposits made to your account.» Mouse-over Account Information from the main menu, then select Notifications from the drop-down. 1. Select the account from the drop-down menu for which to create a notification, then click Go. 2. Select the type of alert to create and enter the requested information. 3. If you wish to be notified only during a specified time period, enter the date range in the fields provided. 4. Select the notification delivery method, then click Save to activate the notification. Hint: Bill Pay notifications will be automatically sent when scheduled payments are processed. 7

8 Online Statements Why wait for the postal service to deliver your monthly statement when you can access it online? With Online Statements, you may view, print or save your most recent account statements. This feature saves space in your home or office by allowing you to store statements electronically. It s easy to enroll even if you didn t request it when you enrolled in Online Banking. Just follow the steps below.» Select Online Statements from the main menu 1. It s easy to sign up for Online Statements within Online Banking. If you are an account owner, just select Change and choose Online as your delivery method. 2. Select View Statements for enrolled accounts. An archived screen will load with available dates. 3. Select the View Statement link for the desired statement. The statement loads on-screen in PDF format. Benefits: Rolling 7-year archive from enrollment date. No more paper statements. View at your convenience day or night. Receive your statement faster. Extra security against mail fraud theft. Print and/or save to your computer or disk. To view your statements online, Acrobat Reader software must be installed on your computer. This product is offered by Adobe as a free download at their website: adobe.com. 8

9 Stop Payment When you need to make a Stop Payment request, you can do so conveniently online. Normal Stop Payment fees will apply. If you have more than one Stop Payment request, then you will need to contact a Customer Service representative.» Mouse-over Account Information from the main menu, then select Stop Payment from the drop-down. 1. Select the account from which the check was written from the drop-down menu. 2. Enter the check information in the fields provided. 3. Enter your phone number and address. 4. Enter any desired remarks such as the reason for the Stop Payment. 5. Click the check box next to the Terms and Conditions statement, then click Submit. 9

10 Transfer Funds It s easy to transfer money from one account to another, including those you hold at other financial institutions. Utilize the Transfer Funds feature to control when and how often money will be transferred.» Mouse-over Transfers, and then select Transfer Funds from the drop-down. To modify a previously scheduled transfer, click the View/Edit, Skip or Delete links next to the item within the Schedule Transfers section of the screen. 1. To transfer funds, select an account from the From and To drop-down menus. 2. Enter the transfer amount. 3. Select the type of transfer to create from the drop-down menu, then enter the related details. 4. Click Submit Transfer when finished. Hints: To transfer funds to an external account, you must first add the account to your account list using the Manage External Accounts feature. You also have the option to set up a password to be used for security purposes with the Transfer Password feature. You can transfer funds from a Line of Credit. Transfer limits/restrictions are listed within the online FAQs located on our website. 10

11 Bill Pay Overview Bill Pay* offers you convenience, cost-savings and best of all, time savings! No more buying stamps and writing checks. Pay all your bills online anytime, anywhere just by logging on to Online Banking. Pay Anyone, Anytime, from Anywhere Payment history is automatically saved for your records. Choose the date you want your payments to be made up to one year in advance Schedule recurring payments for regularly occurring bills. Edit or delete scheduled payments any time before the processing date. * Bill Pay is included at no additional charge for eligible checking accounts. Otherwise, the $4.95 monthly fee may be waived if the account has an active debit card and Online Statements. Hint: You may not use Bill Pay to pay governmental fees (such as taxes) or court-directed obligations (such as alimony or child support). You can use Bill Pay from anywhere, but payees must be within the United States. 11

12 Set Up Payees Before you can make a payment online, you must first set up payees. A payee is any person or company that you pay, including your utility company, your credit card company, or even your babysitter anyone to whom you would normally send a check.» Select Bill Pay from the main menu. 1. Type the name of the payee in the box labeled Pay someone new and click Add. 2. If your payee is recognized, fill in your account number with the payee. Click Continue to confirm the details in a secondary screen. 3. If the payee is not recognized, you ll need to enter the payee details manually, and then click Continue. 12

13 Make Payments The Make Payments screen serves as your portal to make quick payments, as well as, to view and modify pending payments. Use the Pay feature to schedule payments.» Select Bill Pay from the main menu. 1. Enter the payment amount. 2. The earliest possible payment date available for this payee will automatically prefill. You may change the date by highlighting it and entering a new one, or select a date from the calendar feature. 3. One you are finished entering payment details, click Pay. 4. Scheduled payments will appear under the Pending Payments heading. You may edit or delete a pending payment any time prior to processing by clicking Edit or Cancel. Hints: You can use the Pay feature to make a future-dated or recurring payment in addition to the method just described. To edit a payee s information, click the payee name. The gold symbol represents an electronic merchant offering electronic bill presentment. An e symbol indicates you are currently receiving electronic bills from this payee. 13

14 Make Expedited Payments We offer you the ability to make expedited payments for when regular payments will not be delivered quickly enough. Expedited payments are only available for certain payees and will be sent either electronically or via overnight check. Please note, fees will be charged for all expedited payments.» Select Bill Pay from the main menu, then select Expedited Payment from the left menu. 1. Select the payee to which you d like to make an expedited payment and click Continue Payment. 2. Select either the Expedited electronic or Overnight check Payment type. 3. Enter the payment amount. 4. Choose the account to fund the payment from the drop-down menu. 5. Click the check box to accept the Terms and Conditions, then click Continue Payment. Your will confirm your payment details on a second screen. 14

15 Make Recurring Payments When you have a payee who will receive payments on a recurring basis, enter the payment details once and all following payments will be made automatically. Payments will continue until the final payment date or when the payment schedule is manually removed.» Select Bill Pay from the main menu. 1. Click the payee to pay, then click Pay automatically. If multiple funding accounts are present, select the funding account from the drop-down menu. 2. Choose Pay automatically at selected intervals. 3. Enter the payment amount and frequency. Enter the start date, or select from the calendar feature. 4. Enter a number of instances or leave blank for indefinite ending period for your automatic payments. 5. Click Save changes to confirm your payment details. 15

16 Edit and Delete Payments Even after you have scheduled a payment, you can edit or delete a payment anytime up to the time it is processed. This convenient feature gives you the freedom to change the way you make your payments.» Select Bill Pay from the main menu. 1. Click Cancel to delete the payment, or Edit to modify the payment details. 2. Edit the details as necessary then click Save when finished. Hint: The Cancel button deletes the payment and all future recurring payments made to that payee. If you wish to skip a payment, click Skip instead. 16

17 Payment History Bill Pay makes tedious ledger entry a thing of the past with Payment History. This feature will keep track of all the payments you have made, then allow you to search the records to pinpoint just the information you need.» Select Bill Pay from the main menu, then select View Reports from the left menu. 1. Select a report and click View, or click Create a Report to create a new report. 2. Enter a Report title and select from the available options to define the payment history you d like to view. Once you have entered your search criteria, click Create a report. The report will now be available in the drop-down menu on the View Reports screen. NOTE: Historical payments cannot be edited or deleted. Hint: The entire payment history is available on a CD. Fees apply. 17

18 Mobile Banking Overview Access your account when and where you choose with Mobile Banking*. You can choose from one of three mobile options available: Text Banking**, Mobile Web or a Mobile Application. It s safe, secure and convenient. Just use your web or text enabled cell phone to check balances, pay bills, view recent transactions, transfer funds or search for the nearest branch/atm. We give you the control to manage your finances on your own terms.» Select Mobile Banking to get started. From the Welcome to Mobile Banking screen, click Continue to Mobile Profile. In the Mobile Banking Center, select Add Mobile Device. 1. Select your Mobile Carrier from the drop-down menu. 2. Enter your mobile number. 3. Click View Terms and Conditions to Proceed to view and accept the terms. * Check with your mobile provider regarding message and data rates that may apply. ** Bill Pay and transfers are not available for text banking. 18

19 Mobile Banking Activation Once you have added your phone and accepted the Terms and Conditions, an activation code will display within your Online Banking session. If you have selected text banking, you will be sent a text message to which you will reply with the activation code. If you have selected Mobile Web or Mobile Application, you will be sent a text with a link to the mobile site. Here, you will be asked to log in using your Online Banking User ID and Password, and enter the activation code. If your device is compatible with Mobile Application, you will be asked to download the application prior to logging in. Hint: 2. Your Phone is enrolled. Click Continue to receive Activation Code. 3. Click Print Activation Instructions to print a copy. Follow the remaining steps to complete the activation process. 1. For Text Banking users, a list of commands is available for reference. These shortcuts can help you access account balance and transactions quickly*. You will need to use your mobile phone to complete the activation process within 24 hours. *Check with your mobile provider regarding message and data rates that may apply. 19

20 Online Banking Preferences You can stay in control with the Preferences feature. From here you can send secure messages to the bank as well as change your User ID, Password and the nicknames of your accounts for easy identification. You can also modify security settings, create reports and reorder checks.» Mouse-over Preferences from the main menu. 1. Select an option from the drop-down menu and follow the on-screen directions. Hints: You can change the order of how your accounts are viewed on the Account Summary page or you can choose to hide the information. Remember to always Logout when you are finished with your Online Banking session. 20

21 Contact Us Communicating with us is quick and easy. While online, you can send a secure message to us. You may also call us toll free at the number listed below to speak with a Customer Service representative during normal business hours.» Mouse-over Preferences from the main menu, then select Messages from the drop-down. 1. Select the topic of your message from the drop-down menu, then click Compose Message and follow the on-screen directions. 2. Received messages will appear in the Inbox on your screen.
