During the 60 years of our history we have progressed with great success from a pure trading company to a wholesaler, manufacturer and service provider. Prompt Precise Cost Effective was my father s motto. This describes our business philosophy to this day. We provide our customers with products and services of excellent quality with fast delivery and an attractive price structure. The continued growth of our company and the increasing number of satisfied customers confirm the success of our strategy. The basis of our success rests on the shoulders of our staff, whose efforts and dedication are the contributing factor of our company s achievements. We are EMZ means that we are a TEAM. Josef Beese, establishes the EMZ Elektro-Maschinen- Zentrale GmbH in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. New location. EMZ move from Mülheim an der Ruhr to Recklinghausen. The new premises cover more than 20,000 m 2. Of this area alone 4,000 m 2 are used for warehouses, a further 1,000 m 2 for the workshops and 600 m 2 serve as office space. Second Managing Director. Dipl.-Ing. Engelbert Rataj, is appointed EMZ s second Managing Director New markets. The subsidiary, EMZ France, is founded in France. On the road to success. EMZ exceed the DM 10 million sales mark (equivalent to 5.4 million). New product range. Start of production of EMK low-voltage motors More room more capacity. EMZ expand the production and workshop area to 800 m 2 and a large 700 m 2 warehouse with three HGV loading ramps is erected, thus optimising and extending our logistics processes. Second Generation. After the demise of the company s founder, Josef Beese, his son, Dipl.-Wirt-Ing. Stefan Beese aged 24 takes control of the company. The recipe for the success of our growth is simple: excellent and dedicated staff, who work together as a team to enhance our company s achievements. EMZ currently employ 80 members of staff More room for expansion. Our headquarters in Recklinghausen are extended to include additional office space. The erection of a two-story building provides more room for our sales staff. Meanwhile, EMZ France move to a new company building in Cernay EMZ take over Unitec AG, Switerland. On 01 August 2012, we announced the take over Unitec AG s business acitivities in Switzerland. The traditional Suisse company from now on trades under the company name EMZ-Unitec AG. We can also service and repair geared motors, submersible pumps, transformers and servo-motors. Maintenance The competent staff at EMZ will also maintain and repair your machines. Our service package includes preventive maintenance, which guarantees a high level of operational safety. Machine diagnostics In our own test laboratory all measurements are carried out according to EN and the applicable VDE regulations. Every day, our professional staff ensure the smooth running of your projects. David Caballero has been an integral part of our team for the past six years. The expertise of our employees is our greatest asset, so they receive regular training and further education. David tells us: I think it s great that our employees are given enhanced training. I, too, achieved my business management diploma by attending a course offered by the Chamber of Trade and Industry. Jeanette Weiß Design & Marketing Good advertising is the lifeblood of a successful company. As we at EMZ place great value on our corporate image, Jeanette Weiß takes full responsibility for this important task in our own marketing department. Boredom is unheard of at EMZ because there are so many interesting projects. Jeanette explains: In 2011 we launched a completely new corporate design. I also create our websites and catalogues. Teamwork is particularly crucial because timing plays a major role. Silke Herzog is training as an electronics technician for machines and drive technology. In this area she is the only female apprentice in North Rhein Westfalia. We are especially proud of this fact and Silke says: In my training, I receive a comprehensive insight into the world of drive technology. EMZ have always provided great support. Heinz Busch Logistics For years our customers value us for our extensive stock availability. We store our engines in approximately 5,000 m 2 floor space. Our logistics staff ensure that you receive your products as quickly and efficiently as possible. Heinz Busch has worked with EMZ for 35 years.
