2 1 Content 1 Content Version control Overview Procedure Evault Typical Server Client Installation Installation Guide EVault Web CentralControl Configuration Configuration Guide Manually Starting the Job (Optional) Version control Version Changes Date Issue 1 First issue Overview This document is designed to provide a step-by-step guide to install a new Windows client (32bit or 64 bit) onto the server which you wish to securely backup using Timico Data Vault. 4 Procedure Please follow the step-by-step installation guide below using the screen shots for reference. 4.1 Evault Typical Server Client Installation Please download the client from the Timico Support Centre. Note: The latest agent version at the time of writing is Agent-Windows-x exe. This version will be used for this guide. This guide demonstrates a typical installation on a Microsoft Windows 2008 x64 Server, other Operating Systems will vary. It will be assumed that this is a new installation and the client is unrequested with the EVault software (Director and Web and/or CentralControl). Timico Ltd 2012 Dated: 28/09/2012 Page: 2 of 16
3 4.1.1 Installation Guide To start the installation please click on the link to the Data Vault Windows (64bit) Agent. Select your desired language in the drop down list followed by clicking the OK button. The installation will now begin. Please allow a few minutes for this step to complete. 5 Select I accept the terms.. and click Next. Select the Typical radio button and then click the Next button. Timico Ltd 2012 Dated: 28/09/2012 Page: 5 of 16
6 Edit the EVault Software Agent as follows: Once you have entered the full details below click the Next button to continue. You will have received the Username and Password details required upon placing your initial order with Timico. 9 4.2 EVault Web CentralControl Configuration After completing the Agent installation, you will need to access the Web CentralControl portal to configure the jobs that you wish to run for the server that you have installed the Agent to Configuration Guide Connect to the EVault Web Central Control portal Click the This is a new Agent I would like to configure hyperlink to start the wizard.
