4 TREATMENT THAT TRANSFORMS LIVES Each patient begins their recovery journey with an entirely individualized treatment plan. Under the direction of Dr. Timothy Huckaby, our medical and clinical teams work together to incorporate this plan into all aspects of our patients care. Many times, our patients have developed addiction or substance abuse issues because of an underlying co-occurring disorder. To address co-occurring disorders, we employ evidencebased, therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Each patient receives a comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluation upon arrival. Patients participate in psycho-educational groups to assist them in understanding their co-occurring conditions and symptomology. Our patients participate in nutritional counseling, yoga, art, and interpersonal and equine therapies as part of their treatment plan. DR. TIMOTHY HUCKABY, MEDICAL DIRECTOR Dr. Huckaby is triple board certified in Pain Medicine, Addiction Medicine, and Anesthesiology. An expert in addiction medicine, Dr. Huckaby is passionate in his belief that addictions are treatable diseases, and is driven to make a real difference in the lives of his patients.

5 THE 10/10 THERAPEUTIC EXPERIENCE Each patient treated at an Advanced Recovery Systems facility has the opportunity to benefit from our unique 10/10 Therapeutic Experience. Once clinically and medically appropriate, our patients will begin the 10/10 Therapeutic Experience in which they will receive 10 individualized sessions within 10 days. By quickly identifying faulty cognitions that produce maladaptive behaviors, we are able to tailor each patient s treatment plan. In doing so, we help our patients shift from a negative mindset, typically coupled with unhealthy behaviors, to a positive approach that fosters a S sustainable recovery. 7 SUPPORT FOR MAINTAINING RECOVERY Continued support following treatment is critical to recovery. During admission, we work with each patient s referring providers, or through our relationship network to plan for aftercare services. Each patient has a comprehensive discharge plan prior to departure, including appointments with his or her primary care provider, psychiatrist and outpatient therapist, as well as other necessary aftercare services. EATING DISORDER PROGRAM Orlando Recovery Center s dedicated eating disorder unit provides comprehensive support and treatment for our patients struggling with a co-occurring eating disorder. Our highly trained specialists understand the unique needs of our patients and our facility is equipped to handle complex medical issues that are often seen in eating disorders, such as severe malnutrition and dehydration.
