1 FAMILY PROGRAM Addiction takes a toll not only on the individual, but on the family, as well. When using, addicts are selfish and selfcentered; their wants and needs are placed ahead of the ones they love. Very often this can result in families experiencing a great deal of pain and suffering. It can be a very difficult and confusing time affecting emotionally, socially and psychologically. JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER understands the importance of involving the client s family in the recovery process. We view the family as an essential component of a client s ongoing recovery. JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER professionals assess the family s needs and provide education about chemical dependence and the disease of addiction. We offer ongoing family support during the client s addiction treatment. Within the first week of treatment, the client s primary therapist will establish communication between the family members. When appropriate, the clinical staff will schedule visitations or phone sessions between the clients and families. Towards the end of treatment, the sessions focus on the reintegration of the client back into the family system a very challenging time for everyone. When addiction is addressed together as a family, it grants the individual additional love and support. JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER will help the individual and their loved ones recover from the damage that addiction caused and rebuild their lives as a happy, healthy and loving family.

3 TRANSITIONAL LIVING Transitioning back into society can often be a difficult and frustrating task. JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER understands that returning to the same old people, places and things puts clients at risk of relapse. Just Believe recommends its clients enter into an approved transitional living program which provides a supervised environment. This option differentiates Just Believe from other treatment centers who do not assist their clients in transitioning back to society. There is an onsite manager, who supervises the residence to ensure that clients are living in a safe and sober environment. Residents must participate in Just Believe s outpatient program, which helps the client address such issues as employment, education and independent living. In addition, residents are required to attend 12-step meetings on a regular basis. Random drug tests are administered, which help maintain a drug and alcohol free living environment. Whether it is seeking employment or receiving an education, assistance will be readily available to the clients living in the transitional living program.

5 PROGRAMS Core Processing Group Group therapy addresses interpersonal, family and social struggles, develops communication and relationship skills and nurtures shared identity. It promotes an allegiance of peers, a community of concern/understanding and fosters appropriate attitudes and behaviors. Therapeutic Assignments Assignments are given by a therapist on a regular basis that address specific needs developed in the treatment plan goals. Therapeutic assignments help define alternative needs and behaviors, as well as practicing new behaviors. Individual Therapy During this time, clients are able to discuss anything and everything that is on their minds. It is a time to embrace individual development and exploration of issues with a primary therapist. Experiential/Arts These activities help identify an alternative way to express feelings, as well as develop healthy leisure and relaxation skills. These activities assist in memory recall, goal-directed thinking and problem solving skills. Clients are encouraged to identify leisure activities that they will continue as a means of healthy living in the community. Psycho-Educational Groups A form of therapeutic intervention designed to teach clients about their addiction and, in many cases, mental health disorders and help them learn how to manage the related symptoms, behaviors and consequences. The focus is often on a specific topic that affects the patients who participate, and the group is facilitated by a mental health professional or addictions specialist. Use of videos and other lecture materials enhance the experience for clients and improves self-awareness; the ability to identify opportunities for improvement or growth; the ability to identify positive resources in treatment and in the community; to get a better understanding of both addiction and recovery; and to build confidence in their ability to better their lives and make good choices in recovery.

7 DUAL DIAGNOSIS As a licensed Dual Diagnosis treatment facility, JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER specializes in working with clients who have co-occurring addiction and mental health diagnoses. Often the presenting addiction issue is only the tip of the iceberg, as many Just Believe clients have other issues needing treatment, such as mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, anger, abandonment and other underlying issues. We review the needs of each client, formulating diagnoses, designing a comprehensive treatment plan and providing the support for clients to return to health and to reduce the potential for relapse. At JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER, the client s treatment program includes one-on-one therapy and group sessions with Just Believe professionals, who are experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health, substance abuse and trauma. We provide evidenced-based treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy techniques, forgiveness therapy, art therapy, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). There are teaching groups specifically designed to teach CBT skills to help clients deal with feelings of guilt and shame, traumatic memories, and issues with low self-worth. The personal and intensive care that the entire staff of JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER provides allows the healing process to begin and to allow clients to progress to understanding and recovery. Therapists support the client in learning techniques for coping and help guide the client to choose healthy perspectives and habits. Nobody chooses to become sick. 9 A COMPLETE CONTINUUM OF CARE JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER understands that the recovery process does not happen overnight, it comes with time and a willingness to start a new way of life. We offer our clients a complete continuum of care; from the initial stage of detoxification to eventual return to living in the community with the necessary tools and structure which supports sobriety. Detox The first step in the recovery process is detoxification. It is essential that an individual rids their body of all the toxins that have built up throughout their active addiction. JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER arranges admission to a medically monitored detox center with all the comforts of being at home. Individuals receive professional care in a serene environment which promotes the healing process. All clients are monitored 24/7 by medically trained professionals to ensure that their health and well-being are properly cared for. Residential After detox, clients will be admitted to a residential program. Clients will be fully assessed by both a medical doctor and a psychiatrist to ensure that their physical and emotional needs are met. They will be assigned to a primary therapist, who will work with the client in developing an individualized treatment plan. Individual and group therapies are an important component of the treatment plans developed for our clients. In addition, the Just Believe team places equal emphasis on the social aspects of recovery by scheduling various social activities including kayaking, swimming, volleyball, yoga, nutritional counseling, massage, recreational sports and fishing. Clients will also be attending 12-Step Recovery meetings. This way, clients will begin to learn how to live life without using drugs or alcohol. Transitional Living While in a residential program, clients are taught various coping skills and tools in order to stay clean. JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER will often refer its clients to an approved transitional housing program where they will live in a supervised housing environment. A sober living environment allows individuals to adjust to returning to the community while still having support and guidance. Clients begin to utilize the tools they have learned in treatment and develop a strong sober support network. Living among other recovering addicts decreases the risk of relapse and reinforces their newfound sobriety.

She developed two substance abuse programs, including the creation and operation of Serenity House a halfway house for women and A Pocket Full of H.O.P.E., Inc., which provided housing and support for recovering addicts and their families. JUST BELIEVE RECOVERY CENTER fulfills her life-long dream of providing a continuum of care under a clinical team s direction that assists addicts and alcoholics through their journey to find a new way of life! OUR GOAL is to provide clients with the tools to recover from the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of addiction. We recognize that alcoholism and drug addiction are progressive illnesses.
