Our mission at Helix Healing & Recovery is to provide adults with mental health issues a nurturing environment where they can heal, rehabilitate, and cultivate personal resilience. We provide a safe space for self-discovery, personal growth, and a foundation upon which to live purposefully and with meaning. Making the choice to heal is the first step; however, committing to the journey of recovery to living a purposeful life with joy and meaning is far more difficult. Helix Healing & Recovery is part of the Hanbleceya Recovery Network, which has been supporting adults with mental illness to lead productive lives since In addition to Hanbleceya s established success treating mental illness, the serene 6-bedroom residence at Helix Healing & Recovery provides a sense of safety and comfort on two secluded acres in an upscale San Diego neighborhood. 5 The People We Treat. Helix Healing & Recovery treats adults with primary mental health concerns and dual diagnoses in an exclusive, residential setting. While stabilization and rehabilitation are an important first step, we take a collaborative approach with our clients to support them in learning how to manage their mental health and substance abuse issues. Our residential program offers a variety of holistic and empirically-based approaches to address the cognitive, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual aspects of healing and recovery. Additionally, clients and their therapists may elect to utilize specific treatment modalities with more frequency in order to target specific mental health symptoms. 9 Activities & Recreation. At Helix Healing and Recovery, fun is considered an important part of the treatment experience. Each week, clients have opportunities to participate in outdoor activities, adventures and relaxation in some of San Diego s most scenic locations. Kayaking in the sun at La Jolla Cove, touring Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, surfing or sailing at Mission Bay Aquatic Center, and hiking the trails at Torrey Pines State Reserve are a few examples of activities clients will experience while in treatment.
